And now that she'd seen it by herself, she knew Ryley was still wary and suspicious of her because of the kidnapping incident. 

There's something about Ryley that she couldn't ignore. How could a Beta have such a domineering presence? 

Gracia felt she could lose her cool if she didn't try to initiate a conversation soon. 

"I heard that you recommended a new model in your agency," she said from behind the driver's seat.

"Do you think I made a mistake, Miss Clark?" Ryley replied in a calm voice, but the way he rolled his gaze at the woman beside him as he said it was somewhat snarky.
