*LEO’S POV*

I watched as Nia’s head flew back. Her eyes rolled back into her head and her body started to shake.

“Nia? Nia!”

I shook her, trying to rouse her from whatever stupor she was in. I remembered her mention of visions—the first one she experienced being about Erylis. Was this another one?

My hands trembled as I tried to think of ways to help her; to wake her. F*ck, come on, Leo. Think, think!

And then, as soon as the convulsions started, they stopped. I waited, fearfully, for any sign of her awakening. I got down on my knees in front of her and reached a hand out, cusping her face. It was warmer than usual.

“Princess,” I said, rubbing her cheek with my thumb, trying to keep my voice as calm and soothing as possible. “Princess…come back—”
