Chapter 7: Chapter 07: Alpha Challenge

“He’s not your mate,” Rowan snarled.

“Well, neither are you, as you said, so scram!” Mila scowled. She continued to eat her delicious sandwich made for her by Josiah.

“You need to watch how you speak to me. You are not my equal,” Rowan warned with a growl.

Mila scoffed. She finished eating her food and stood up to wash her dish. She walked around Rowan and made her way to the sink in the kitchen.

She found the kitchen easily based on the brief tour Josiah had given her earlier. She let the breath she was holding go as she leaned against the sink.

She ignored him as she cleaned her plate. After she was done, she decided to walk out of the kitchen. As she was heading to the door, she was pulled back and slammed against the wall.

“Do you understand?”

Mila’s eyes narrowed. “I understand perfectly fine that your natural mate is 100% your equal and made for you,” she spat.
