Chapter 65: To Rescue Her? Or Wish Her Dead?

After the convoy shifted back to their human form, they were led to Daemon's tent.

Daemon, who had already left the watchtower simply sat on his chair, the knowledge that his day was just about to get even more interesting fueling him to see the insufferable conversation that was going to happen to the end.

Falcon bursted into the tent like an impatient thing, ten men trailing behind him. Daemon observed that there was nothing that looked remotely little about his little brother. The once eighteen year old boy was now a man.

A look of surprise was etched on Falcon's face, as he too took Daemon in. There was an uncomfortableness to his expression too, as if unsure of what to say to Daemon, or how to address him. After all, their parting six years ago had been abrupt to say at the least.

As if recovering himself from his momentary shock, Falcon said tentatively. "Daemon."
