Chapter 2: Reason to Live On
"I'm still alive?" Shi Li was perplexed as to how this was possible. "How...?"
Before he could continue asking this question to himself, an influx of memories suddenly surged into his brain, making him hold his head in pain.
His eyes dilated and expanded rapidly as cold sweat from his forehead, trying to endure the intense pain of having memories forced into his brain.
Even though his brain hurts, that didn't mean he was unconscious. Every time a new memory was assimilated into his brain, it would flash in front of Shi Li's eyes as if it was happening in real time.
The first memory that Shi Li assimilated was of an experience of flying high in the air with the wind blowing at his face. No, it wasn't due to airplanes, it was thanks to a man holding onto him tightly as they rode on a flying sword.
At that instant, Shi Li couldn't help but give out an expression of shock.
"What the...cultivation exists?"
Indeed, a dream Shi Li wanted to happen, has finally come true. He didn't know what he would do with this information, but if he knew that cultivation truly existed, he would instantly pursue the peak of cultivation, true immortality.
As this was happening, another memory was assimilated into his brain, showing the figure of a beautiful woman in front of Shi Li. The woman had jet-black hair and an extremely perfect body which would make mens' lower regions blaze into a fire. Yet for some reason, the woman's face was blurred, as if it was a sin for Shi Li to look at.
"Eh?" Shi Li didn't expect this anomaly to happen. Instead of admiring the woman's body, he was instead befuddled as to who the woman was. He tried to manipulate the memory to the best of his abilities, yet it all ended in failure.
In the end, he couldn't help but sigh and move onward.
And it was at this moment that the important memories surged into his brain like a raging river. He couldn't help but clutch at his head tighter than ever before, as if it could help him cope through this situation.
Shi clan.
Xiuzhen Planet.
Shi Li.
Huang clan.
Women.
These words stood out amongst all of these memories, and this prompted Shi Li to arrange the memories he obtained into chronological order. Not long after, he realized two things.
The first one was that he was in another world named Xiuzhen Planet where cultivation exists. Humans still looked the same, yet everything else was different. Realizing this made him happy since he, as a transmigrator, could use the memories of his previous life and create some world-breaking technique that would tear the heavens asunder and crack the earth into ruin.
Speaking of transmigrator, the second thing he realized was that...he transmigrated into another person's body, and he couldn't help but feel utter disgust towards this new body.
As to why he felt this way, it was thanks to the memories of the body's past owner.
The body's past owner was coincidentally named Shi Li as well, living up to a young age of 16 years old before dying. This Shi Li was a playboy to the core, if he would pass by a woman that fancied his eye, he would ask his father if he could engage in intercourse with the woman before forcing the woman to submit to him.
This incident was repeated multiple times, spanning for multiple years, making the current Shi Li despise the old Shi Li.
"Man...even though I'm extremely disgusted by this body, I still can't help but say that I'm technically not a virgin anymore," Shi Li sighed. He didn't know what he was thinking, maybe he was losing it. "I'm technically not a virgin physically, but I'm still a virgin mentally...I think."
As he continued to look through these memories of pleasure and emotion, he couldn't help but look at the man the old Shi Li asked permission for. This was the man that held onto him...well the body while they were riding on the flying sword, his father.
Even though the old Shi Li asked permission to indecent things, his father would look at Shi Li in the eyes and smile as if nothing wrong was going to happen. His father had that look where if his son was happy, then he would be happy as well.
He didn't know what to feel at the moment as two contrasting emotions filled his heart: disgust and love. It was a disgust towards his body, yet a strong parental love towards his father.
Eventually, an incident that wouldn't have made it possible for the current Shi Li to take over the old Shi Li's body came.
There was a girl he fancied for a few weeks and asked permission from his father if he could fornicate with the girl, his father said yes.
Then came the time when the two of them were finally going to do the deed, yet all of a sudden, instead of lying down on the bed against her will, the girl brought a sharp blade, which scared the old Shi Li out of his wits.
The girl started to chuckle in a menacing way as her pupils contracted while looking at the old Shi Li. "Where's the Sky grade technique?"
"W-W-What Sky grade technique?" Shi Li asked even though he was naked. He was oblivious to the matters of his clan, not to mention the terms used in cultivation.
The girl tried to ask the old Shi Li while threatening him that she will cut his little brother off, yet in the end she got nothing from Shi Li.
The girl sighed and looked at Shi Li with disgust. "And I thought you would be useful to us, the Huang clan. Guess I'd never trust a playboy to have that much information."
And not long after that, the girl stabbed the old Shi Li in the heart with the blade she was holding, even piercing through all the ribs near the heart and allowing the blade's tip to appear on the other side of Shi Li's body.
The memories afterwards were blurry but the current Shi Li had a hunch that someone from his clan found out that he was killed and brought him to this medical room. He assumed that this was the Shi clan's medical room, which after recalling it from the old Shi Li's memories he now knew.
He placed his left hand on the stab wound and felt his heart beat normally. He lied down on the bed once more before looking at the ceiling.
At that moment, a voice spoke to him.
"Shi Li! Avenge me! Avenge me Shi Li!"
Shi Li looked around and saw that there was no one talking to him. After a bit of searching, he realized that the voice came from his mind.
"Who are you?" he asked.
"I am the previous soul of your current body, Shi Li. Avenge me! I know all the things I've done and I truly regret it now that I'm dead, but please... avenge me!"
The current Shi Li couldn't help but sneer. "Hmph! Good thing you know that you were such a disgrace of a person back then. Don't worry though, I have plans for this body where we'll both benefit. Anyways, what's this avenging thing you're talking about?"
The voice replied a second after Shi Li finished talking, "This does not only affect you, but the whole Shi clan as well. I'm sure you've seen my past memories right? Then you know that the girl mentioned the Huang clan. That Huang clan is one of the enemy clans of our clan, the Shi clan, and I'm guessing they're planning to annihilate the clan."
"Go ahead and dismiss all of this as nonsense, but I'm telling you the truth. This took me a while to realize but I'm telling you, the clan's life is in grave danger, so please..."
"Avenge me and kill the Huang clan."
After the voice was finished talking, it slowly dissipated until Shi Li couldn't sense it anymore.
Not long after, Shi Li couldn't help but sit back up and sigh.
"I guess I have no choice then."
