Chapter 98: Ch.98 Did I just missed something?
Kris drove towards the location along with Clear, after learning his way around the building.
Felicity was able to get the schematics from the Linderman Groups public records. And pinpoint the exact location of Molly's private room, using the tracker they've placed on Mohinder when they last met.
While Clear did came along, it took some time to convince her that it would be to risky to bring her in with him. After that, they've agreed upon that she would be waiting in the car ready to drive them off as soon as they got Molly.
Kris parked in a near by alley, and got off. Allowing Clear to scoot over to the driver seat. He gave Clear a final look and casted invisibility on himself.
He then shadowed some people that entered the building, tailgating his way thru the minor security detail.
But when he got to the elevator going to the lower levels, that's when things got complicated. Good thing that he's got an angel helping him, no other than Ms.Felicity Smoak herself. Almost talking his ear off, she gave him exact instructions on how to install a couple of devices to allow her to remotely give him access.
Everything went smoothly from there, until he encountered another road block in the form of Jessica and D.L.
Kris already knew that Clear have identical sisters but seeing it up close is just too weird. Especially if that person just passed thru a wall, arriving in front of him.
The man, and Clear's copy didn't notice Kris but it was a close call.
[Jessica POV]
After following D.L. to the Linderman Group's building in Kirby Plaza. D.L. held her hand as they pass thru wall after wall to get to Linderman's office.
Unfortunately the man himself was not there at the moment. After realizing this was the perfect time to look for any clues to find there son, they found something else instead.
They found detailed files on their whole family, including Micah.
It got pictures, from way back before they met to the present. It was mostly taken from a hidden perspective, which meant that Linderman have been watching them ever since then.
And may have been manipulating things, and using them in his little schemes. D.L. is angered to find that they have been used.
Then the pair attempted to determine Micah's whereabouts thru all the files present but to no avail.
As they go thru everything, Jessica knocked over some art pieces, and found a painting of Micah in what appears to be a burning New York City.
Mean while with Micah...
Up in the Company facility at Kirby Plaza, Candice still holds Micah prisoner. Candice gives Micah several rare comics to keep him preoccupied, he admits she seems like a nice person.
Micah asks why Candice doesn't use her powers to become a hero, but a jaded Candice dismisses Micah's youthful innocence and implies that her current appearance isn't what she really looks like.
Not long after their little heart to heart, Mr. Linderman arrives and asks for Micah's help. He tells Micah he will ensure that Micah's family will be able to live happily ever after if Micah will help him "talk to machines".
Later that day...
Amidst the frenzy of election day, Candice takes Micah to a polling place. She disguises herself as a voter and introduces Micah to a poll worker as her son.
In the voting booth, she asks Micah to alter the votes electronically to give Nathan Petrelli a landslide victory. Micah completes his tasks and, exhausted, asks if he can finally go home.
Where instead, some of Linderman's thugs takes Micah back to the building. Placing him in the same sub level as Molly.
With Noah Bennet...
Noah Bennet found out that the company he dedicated his life to was using him from the start.
He learned that instead of capturing the people who use their abilities to commit crime and bring them to justice. The company uses them as assets to perform assassinations, blackmail, and more for profit.
They use various underhanded means to preasure other individuals so they could get their hands on more "Special Asset" as they callef them.
And when they outlive their usefulness they dispose of them, just like his old partner a man who could turn invisible. Apparently he learned a few things he shouldn't.
So he decides to quit his job, but he was threatened by his boss a man he only know as "Thompson".
After hearing this he made his family go into hiding. But, later learned that the company's Walker Tracking system doesn't just locates powered individuals but anyone. Fearing for his families safety he sets out to destroy this tracking system.
He then teamed up with Matt Parkman, the most recent victim of the company's schemes.
Matt have been kicked out of the police force for turning down the company's offer. Knowing this Noah contacted him asking for help, while telling him about the company's schemes.
Matt was reluctant to help at first but after learning that his wife is pregnant, and how the company might use that to manipulate him. He agreed to help Noah in the condition, Noah hides his wife and unborn child as well.
They traveled to New York and infiltrated the Linderman Group's building, all the way to the sub level where they keep the "assets".
Mr. Bennet and Matt reach the level housing the tracking system, but unknown to them, they are being watched on the security monitors by Thompson, who is waiting to ambush them.
When they were caught in the hallway, by Thompson himself. He tried to stall for time until the security team comes.
Matt reads Thompson's mind and uncovers the ambush, He then saw in the man's head that he his going to shoot Noah Bennet.
Matt pushes him aside, saving Mr. Bennet's life just in time. As well as knocking Thompson down.
Mr. Bennet returns the favor by shooting Thompson in the head twice at point blank range. Having taken care of Thompson, they proceed to the room housing the tracking device, and discover that it is the little girl, Molly Walker.
Even though he was aware that the tracking device was in fact a person, Mr. Bennet is surprised to learn that it is a young girl.
Matt is shocked, unable to comprehend that they are possibly needing to kill a child. In his state of surprise, he is knocked unconscious by Mohinder, who ends up in a Mexican standoff with Mr. Bennet: Mohinder's gun on Bennet, Bennet's gun on Molly.
Back with Kris...
Kris continued on after the two phased thru another wall.
He went thru the labyrinth of corridors until he finally arrives at Molly's room. Only to witness, Noah Bennet pointing a gun at Molly While Mohinder was pointing his gun at Noah.
Seeing that Matt Parkman is also in the room's floor unconscious, Kris unable to bottle his anger at seeing Molly being threatened.
He activated his lightsaber, and cut Noah's gun in half not even giving him a chance to use it.
He then came out of the invisible state, and said,"You better think really hard before you make your next move or it won't be a gun your losing next."
Surprised at Kris's sudden appearance, everyone snapped their heads towards him.
Molly after seeing this mysterious man, looked at Mohinder who noticed her gaze and gave her a small nod.
Molly stares at Kris for a while and said,"I thought you would never come for me..." with tears at the corner of her eyes.
Kris gave her a sideways glance with a smirk saying,"And why would you think that peanut? I'm here now aren't I?"
Molly just practically flew like a bullet to tackle Kris saying,"Daddy!"
Kris caught her in a hug. But, things were playing differently in his head... he was actually frozen with the word,"Wait!!What?!" hanging in the air.
