It was midnight and the moon light radiated its brilliance upon the earth, most people were asleep.
Adriel's eyes twitched before slowly opening, his face was pale. The first thing he did was look out the window to tell the time, he noticed it was night already which meant several hours had passed since he blessed the fierce moon beast egg.
'seems my body didn't fully recover from blessing Linxu and it was too early to use it a second time" Adriel thought as he slowing walked to his yard to examine the incubator.

"Huh, what's this" Adriel raised his eyebrows in surprise when he noticed a change and the phenomenon in front of him.
The egg was far different than before, it was now a size bigger than before that it could be compared to a football and as a result of its growth, its hunger for spiritual and starlight energy increased, and its absorption speed was now at least three times faster than before as for the materials prepared it had reduced by 1/10th.
But what surprised Adriel was the fact that the fierce moon panda egg was now emitting dazzling speckles of light as big as a grain of sand, more intriguing was that these speckles of light were a mixture of brown and red instead of the original brown light.
From the looks of it, the fierce moon panda now had a dual affinity of fire and earth unlike average fierce moon pandas with only earth affinity.
It mutated after the MIDAS touch blessing!
Adriel thought about this change and decided it was one of the features of the so-called possible mutation the system talked about.
Adriel stared deeply at the elemental lights.
All sorts of dreamy thoughts surfaced in his mind, he imagined the fierce moon panda's future glorious deeds, like fusing both elements to form powerful gigantic spikes made entirely of magma or earth-fireballs even creating magma barriers to protect linxu.
"Silly, you are standing in a daze again" as Adriel was in his thoughts sweet melodious voice reached his ears interrupting his train of thoughts.
He turned to look and saw the Fan Linxu in her white long gown staring at him with a baffled look on her face, under the moonlight she looked graceful and enchanting at the same time.
"Huh, you broke through?" Adriel cried out, with a glance he could tell that she benefited greatly from her last cultivation.
"Yes, I've reached the second stage of the martial king realm" she answered without batting an eyelid, her face remained deliberately impassive.
It didn't come as a surprise to her after all she was originally at the very peak of the first stage and now that her physique improved it was only a matter of time.
Adriel smiled and said with a conversational tone "if only the members of the sect could see how casual you are about being as strong as a lot of sect elders, who knows how they'll react "
Fan linxu snorted: "who cares how they react" she pause then said with a. Serious tone: "you really should stop thinking about useless things and cultivate otherwise you'll fall far behind"
Adriel felt pained: "Do you really to be so sincere, just you wait I'll catch up to you soon!" he shook his head and with a bitter smile on his face he returned to the bed to cultivate.
When he turned his back to her a rare smile appeared on Fan linxu face, it was so beautiful and for a moment it felt like flowers bloomed around her, her big round crystal eyes revealed a confident light as if accepting Adriel's challenge.
Back on the bed Adriel closed his eyes and took deep breaths, soon he reached an ethereal state then he began to comprehend his beast tamer space and contact the nine stairways of celestial beast souls.

It didn't take long before a message prompt popped up in Adriel's mind.
Adriel didn't hesitate and immediately clicked on accept.

Immediately a bright indescribable light shone on Adriel, the space around him distorted and warped then his soul was sucked into the void.
Everything happened so fast and he felt like he was being held by invisible hands and his body broke into thousands of tiny bits when he passed through the void.
For an unknown amount of time Adriel felt like he was floating in an endless space, it felt like a lifetime had passed and it was only a long time after he felt his feet land on a firm surface.
When Adriel opened his eyes. What greeted him was the sight of the rarest phenomenon he'd ever seen.
The void around him was darker than the darkest night and more silent than an abandoned graveyard, but in the heart of the empty void was a grand opulent stairway, the bottom was right in front of Adriel's feet but the top was so high, it looked as if the stairways connected the heavens and earth together .
Its appearance was so majestic and spectacular that it was difficult to describe. The width of each stair was genuinely vast and adorned with sumptuous stones and crystals that Adriel couldn't identify.
The stairway was divided into nine flights of stairs, each of the nine flights of stairs had Ten steps.
In total there were a total of ninety steps on the celestial stairway.
On top of each step, there were clusters of brilliantly sharp and clear stars of different colors, the higher the stairs the lower the number of stars however the stars became brighter as they went up.
Adriel had a feeling that each star represented a martial spirit, and the ten thousand stars on the final steps of the celestial stairways were all divine beasts, he vaguely felt he could make any one of them his martial spirit if he manage to make physical contact.
Thinking up to this point Adriel took a deep breath and then stepped forward to ascend the stairs.
But as he was about to step on the first stairway countless prompts describing different beasts appeared in his mind, the numbers were just too much to count as there were too much. But a message prompt stood out amongst them.
