Prime elder Ooxi continued: "Anyways now that I've confirmed you are a beastmaster, let me inform you of the real reason I'm here"
Hearing that Adriel's eyes grew more attentive and he looked at the Prime elder with great curiosity, ever since he gained the MIDAS touch ability (just a couple of hours ago hehe) he had been eagerly waiting for her return so he could awaken her a beast master space too!.
The Prime elder glanced around as if checking if someone else was around before continuing: 'I received a distress call from your mom awhile ago shortly after she ambushed by a group of assassins!"
"What! Who dares?" Before Adriel could speak Fan linxu said with a cold voice mixed with surprise, she knew how powerful Elder Long really was after staying with her for all these years so she couldn't figure out what could let someone that strong send a distress call.
Adriel's face fell, and deep anxiety arose in his heart but then he seem to recall something and chose to suppress it and continued listening.
The Prime Elder glanced at the Fan Linxu and smiled: "you don't seem worried little girl"
Fan Linxu snorted and said with her indifferent voice: "How could I be, my adopted mother isn't someone that a anyone around this backwater area can deal with, the ones that should be worried are her attackers"
The Prime Elder snickered after hearing her answer: "seems she didn't hide much from you guys, hehe I guys that's to be expected as you guys are family"
he paused then continued with. a serious expression: "she's indeed strong but she encountered a bit of trouble this time"
Adriel frowned upon hearing that before asking: " Trouble? Did she enter some sort of mystic realm or are attackers by chance those guys...."
Adriel thought of a possibility and his heart almost jumped to his throat and he didn't dare complete his sentence for fear that it might end up true.
The Prime Elder's eyes lit up seeing Adriel figure it out by himself and he said with an approving tone: "seems you've guessed it, as expected of a soul beast master, your wisdom can't be underestimated"
(Note: soul beast masters are beast masters that can contact the nine celestial steps to form an innate martial beast soul)
Adriel's frown grew deeper upon getting confirmation and he sighed: "how could those guys set their sights on her, she's been as low profile as possible since I began to experience that accursed tribulation"
The Prime Elder nodded in agreement before saying: "indeed she has been low profile, but don't forget that those guys can also play the role of executioner if given the right price"
Adriel more or less thought so too and rage began brewing in his heart: "if that's truly the case, the bastard that hired them should be a traitor of Skyfall sect, and a high ranking one at that for he or she to be able to track her movement so quickly after all she left the sect in secret"
For the First time this night the Prime Elder's expression darken and his face distorted, "your mother also feels the same way, that's why she called asking for me to keep an eye on you guys for a while till she returns"
Adriel Frowned once more upon hearing that and he couldn't help but ask: "she's not coming back yet? isn't it better for her to hide under the banner of the sect from those psychos"
The Prime Elder shook his head:" that's where you are wrong, now that those guys have set their sights on her, they'll stop at nothing to hunt her down no matter where she hides unless they decide killing her is not worth the cost, coming here will put you guys and the sect at risk instead knowing your mother she'll not let that happen, so she's hiding away for now until further notice"
When Adriel heard that he had a look of realization on his face, indeed his mother will always look out for him and Linxu above all else, Adriel felt warmth in his heart at the same time he wished he could help her at least help her become a beast master quickly.
'Seems like I have to quickly grow stronger otherwise, everyone I care about will forever be at risk' Adriel mused silently, his eyes grew intent and he clenched his fist.
At the same time, an air of fighting intent began to hover around Adriel unknowingly as if a slumbering battle God slowly awakened.
The Prime Elder raised an eyebrow in surprise and said: "it seems your mother has little to worry about now"
Adriel nodded.
By the side Fan Linxu face showed a complicated look while listening to the conversation between both of them, no matter how she tried she just couldn't figure out who they were talking about.
Seeing them finally going silent she couldn't hold her curiosity anymore and asked: "who the hell are you guys talking about"
"I'll tell you soon," Adriel replied
The Prime Elder glanced at her and gave her a mysterious smile but he didn't answer her, he raised his hand and a mysterious light burst forth from it before turning into an ancient-looking token black token on his palm.
He turned to look and Adriel and said: "little one now is the best time to focus on cultivation as much as possible, I reckon you should do your best to expand your beast tamer space as much as possible you can" he passed the ancient token to Adriel before saying: "This is the highest possible token of Skyfall sect, with it you will be granted access to anywhere in the sect aside from mystic realms without using any merit point, only four people have this token including the sectmaster, Your mother and I in the whole sect, so make sure you keep it safe!"
Adriel smiled as he received the token, the originally planned to visit the sect library and was a little bit worried he might be restricted since he didn't have a single merit point, but with this, all of that was settled.
Adriel suddenly had a thought: "prime elder can you give elder sister Linxu one of these tokens"
The Prime Elder smiled mysteriously in return: "she doesn't need it" after saying his bit his body turned illusionary and he disappeared from the room as if he had never been there.
Adriel stared at the position where the old man stood with an annoyed look then he sighed: "this feeling of being weaker than everybody dosen't sit well with me"
suddenly the Prime elder appeared in the room silently once more and immediately said with a serious tone: "I almost forgot important, keep the fact that you are a beast master a secret no matter what or else you might force that bastard hiding in the shadows to attack you ahead of time."
As soon as he said that he disappeared again without giving Adriel or Fan linxu a chance to say anything!
