Chapter 4: First night in a palace
Shasha decided to wear something simple as it was already night and she doubted that Nina would wanna go out with her. So she went down to the living room to find Nina sitting on the couch while browsing through her phone. Shasha was feeling kinda hungry after the long day. So she asked Nina if there's anything to eat for dinner.
"Uh Miss Williams," she said. "Is there anything to eat for dinner?"
"Just see if there's anything in the fridge," said Nina. "Just eat anything, but not everything."
"Alright then," said Shasha. "I'll go get something. Do you want anything?"
"No thank you," was Nina's reply.
So Shasha went into the enormous kitchen and found the fridge in a corner. She opened it and saw a lot of food in it. She took out some bread and some peanut butter from the fridge. She toasted the bread in the toaster which was on the countertop. She put the toasted bread on a plate. There was an island in the middle with two chairs. She sat on one of the chairs and spread the peanut butter on the hot toast. There was a comb of bananas on the countertop too. She took one banana, sliced it and put it on the toast. She also poured some cold milk for herself.
Shasha decided to eat her dinner on the kitchen island. She was enjoying her meal when Nina suddenly walked in.
"What are you eating?" Nina asked Shasha.
"Toasted bread with peanut butter and banana slices," said Shasha. "Do you want some?"
"Sure..." said Nina. "I wasn't hungry before but I am hungry now."
Luckily Shasha had prepared four slices of the bread because she had a feeling that Nina would want some too. She put them on separate plates too. So she gave them to her. Nina was hungry and enjoyed the meal thoroughly. They chatted while eating.
"So what is your fighting style?" asked Shasha. "You told me that you'd tell me later when we were in the car."
"Well..." began Nina. "My fighting style is Aikido like yours but with Koppōjutsu with assassination techniques. I was an assassin before this."
"Really?" asked Shasha, a little surprised. "Can we train someday?"
"Sure," said Nina. "But it'll take a lot for you to defeat me."
"Of course it will," said Shasha happily. "I'm still a newbie."
"Well you have to train hard," said Nina. "Some people at the tournament are just plain crazy."
"Okay then," said Shasha. "Where are you from, Miss Williams? You are definitely not from Japan."
"I'm Irish," said Nina. "I was kidnapped by an underground force and was drugged into believing the Rave War sponsor must be assassinated."
"Then?" asked Shasha, wanting to hears Nina's story. "What happened?"
"That's all I can tell you for now," said Nina. "I've only known you for only a day."
"It's okay," said Shasha. "Wanna watch tv?"
"Sure," said Nina. "Wanna watch a movie?"
"Hmm maybe but it is kinda late," said Shasha. "Can we watch something short?"
They both got out of the kitchen and into the living room. Nina switched the large tv on and streamed for something short. They ended up watching Tom and Jerry as it was really funny.
"Are you on Tom's side or on Jerry's side?" asked Nina.
"I'm on Tom's side," said Shasha. "Jerry is annoying."
"Yeah I like Tom too," said Nina. "But my sister's on Jerry's side. She's annoying like Jerry too."
Shasha just laughed. So they enjoyed watching Tom and Jerry even though they watched it many times before, it never got boring. They laughed so hard that they had stitches on their sides. At last it was really late so they went to bed.
Shasha really enjoyed sleeping on the big and soft bed. She slept peacefully and woke up early to her alarm the next day. She got up and wore a pink T-shirt and a pair of Capri black pants with pink floral pattern. She plaited her hair and tied it with a pink hair tie. She packed her gym bag with a pink breathable tank top, yoga pants and a water bottle. She also had her MP3 player and a pair of earbuds. She wanted to train. She went out of the the room and decided to ask Nina if she wanted to train with her. If she doesn't want to then she would order a cab on an application online.
"Miss Williams, do you want to train with me?" asked Shasha. "I was planning to go and train."
"Sure just gimme a minute," said Nina. "Let me change my outfit."
Shasha waited as Nina went to change. Nina was wearing purple one-piece jumpsuit. Nina had some energy bars with her and gave one to Shasha.
Shasha was waiting at the door and was surprised to see that Nina wasn't wearing casual clothes and wasn't carrying a gym bag.
