The news of the tragedy which occurred with the Blue Forsaken Sect spread like wildfire in the roots of the martial arts world. Triggering many calm hearts. The martial arts world was finally caught in a huge storm after the fall of a great Clan, Shu Clan, and Blue Forsaken Sect and Linya's next prey was the Front Liberation Sect.
The Sect was already aware of the upcoming catastrophe so they already started preparing for the war. Two stones were nothing against four but they were still organizing for the battle, but war was the second alternative.
What was the first alternative?
The first alternative was to settle down and make an agenda against Linya. Chiefs and Lords from different Sect and Clan will gather together and make a plan against Linya but Megara didn't understand one thing.
Her uncle had an issue with the Blue Forsaken Sect which is now already half destroyed and it no longer possesses any stone. Why don't they just give the two stones which they possess back to Linya? They still don't know where the black stone is, so nothing will happen to the world. Unless they also possess the black stone. Why not give those two stones to Linya and then make a plan for the war? Everyone can then settle down and then make a strategy against Linya. Of course, everyone wants to get revenge for their dead ones.
In short, Megara wants no hazard pointing toward her Sect but her uncle wants war. The war will transpire one way or another, why must you put your sect in peril as well? Since when did he become so adamant about power?
It's been a week since they agreed for everyone to settle down and make a plan against Linya. They already send proposals to the respective Chiefs and Lord. Some Sect Chiefs have already arrived since the meeting is after two days now.
With a heavy sigh, Megara stood near the window of her room. It was winter and the exquisite snowflakes were blanketing the Sect. Everyone was engaged in the preparation for the upcoming conference. Ever since she came back from the dark manor her heart has not been at ease even for the slightest second.
Evenor has been ignoring her but he didn't tell anyone about her truth which was very much expected from him. She also tried to reach Agnes through her spiritual eagle but got no answer.
With a deadpan face and mind in turmoil, she stood silently and motionlessly.
"Evandros...why are you destroying yourself just for that immense hatred you have for me?" She whispered under her whiff, her eyes saddening. Only if she was wiser...only if she wasn't betrayed by the actions that were displayed before her. Only if she didn't misunderstand. In the end, it's all her shortcomings.
She has done every sin in her full consciousness and in her right mind. But...she deserves forgiveness, she also deserves a second chance. All she did was double-cross a few so she could save a lot.
But only if she was a little wiser.
She swallowed and rubbed her freezing hands together which were relaxing on the windows fence. Her eyes glided down and her green hues dilated once they matched his light maroon ones. Evenor stilled once he realized he was caught staring at her. His Adam's apple bobbed up and down and his vision got blurred. In the end, what he thought belonged to him, wasn't in his possession at all.
Her heart belonged to Evandros from the very beginning. She might be infatuated with Evenor but deep down he knew...she didn't love him the way she loved Evandros and that bastard is so blind to see it.
On one hand, Evandros thinks Evenor is the bastard for loving someone like her, and on the other hand, Evenor thinks Evandros is the bastard for hating someone like her.
Ahh...feelings are so tricky.
She has gone through a lot to be this stoic, if you look closely in her heart you will find a feeble child, wailing for peace.
In the end, she was not his... but she was still his Blossom. His friend, his comrade, and his past filled with joy. He gulped and passed her a smile, she wasn't at fault to be treated like this by him. He had stood with her in her worst time. What makes her think he will leave her now?
Friendships are beyond everything.
Her sullen face suddenly lit up once she saw him smiling. At least, he was important to her. She even kissed that bastard's boots for him. She immediately raised her hand, telling him to wait as she got on the fence of her window and was about to leap down. His eyes enlarged. He still needed some time to face her properly.
Megara's heart was thudding in her ribcage by the time she leaped down. A smile plastered on her face when she raised her head to look at him but her smile vanished in an instant when she didn't find him on his spot.
She looked around but he was nowhere.
She pursed her trembling lips together before straightening her stance. She clenched her hands in a fist and pivoted to walk back to her room but before she could do so, she heard a calm voice calling her. Turning her head to the right side, she saw Master Shin.
He was dressed in his usual white attire with his magnificent blade on his waist.
"I hope I'm not disturbing?"
***********
"Just as we planned," Evandros said and took a sip of his liquor. He was dressed like the royalty he was. He was wearing a dark green robe with golden embroidery on the edges of the robe and lapel. He was wearing his ancestor rings on his fingers while holding a small cup of wine in his long, pale, and slender fingers.
"Yes," A man with blonde hair sat in front of him on the buffer. His hair was short and tied up by a fancy hairpin. He was wearing a furry white cloak with a brown robe beneath it. Half of his chest was visible and a scar can be seen on the left side of his chest.
"Also, give me my payment. Do you know how much tensed I was to make the plague work at the right time?" The man said and Evandros grabbed a box from beneath the table, putting it in front of the man.
"There, it includes the payment for the upcoming work as well," Evandros let out. The man put his liquor cup on the table before grabbing the box and opening it. "You also wanted to have your revenge on the Shu Clan for what they did to you," Evan said and the man stared at him with a sharp gaze through his long feathery eyelashes.
"Why must you remind me of that? We both know I only helped you because I wanted to have my revenge on the Shu Clan and I will help you further so that you can have yours." He proclaimed before digging his hand into the gold coins with some other gold jewels.
"Adonis, how does it feel after having your vengeance?" Evandros raised a question, his gaze focused on the box as he took a sip of the liquor. Adonis closed the box and gazed at the man with a blank face.
"It feels amazing but you must make sure, you don't possess any sympathy for anyone or anything. Otherwise, that single ounce of sympathy will drag you down forever." Adonis said and Evandros snorted.
"Me and Sympathy? What a weird combination." Evan mused and Adonis passed him throaty laughter.
"Let's take your revenge and end it forever..." Adonis said and raised his cup of wine in the air but Evandros ignored his gesture saying...
"We aren't that close."
All he had on his mind was to break her and then kill his bastard of a father. These two are accountable for his mother's demise...they must taste his wrath.
He will end everything permanently.
