"I wondered how we made these perfect babies," Jack mused, his voice tinged with awe.

It was incredible how a person like him would be blessed with babies as innocent as the ones in the cot, sleeping away in their protected cocoon. There and there! He vowed to protect them even to the last drop of blood that ran through his veins.
