Chapter 24: The Old Man's Secret

The gate to the afterlife had been open since the sun began to set. Tama walked towards the light guided by the bracelet that the old man gave to him. Tama continues walking through the unknown forest. Because the forest looks like that, it seems that it never existed in the Banten Province area.

The further Tama goes, the more light becomes yelow and looks so strong. No animal sounds were heard in the forest. He could only hear the whisper of the wind that accompanied him to the gate to the afterlife.

Tama was already in front of a gate that was quite high. The gate seemed to be made of very thick wood. He saw the gate slowly open. The light shining in front of him was getting more and more dazzling.

An old man came out of the gate, and it turned out that he was an old man selling ice doger and seller of drinks on cart in Senayan this morning.

"You.. you? the ice doger seller?", asked Tama while shaking.

"Welcome to the afterlife" replied the old man with a smile.

Tama's legs seemed to be shaking when he saw the old man selling an ice doger who gave him a bracelet now in front of him.

"You, you tricked me! It turns out that you are the gatekeeper of the afterlife! Why didn't you just tell me this morning!" shouted Tama.

"There's no way I could have said that earlier. If I said it, you wouldn't believe it".

"Shut your mouth, I have to get out of here, I don't feel good" shouted Tama who was already very disappointed.

"You've come all the way here, why are you in such a hurry to leave?"

Tama said that he was no longer interested in the cell phone owned by the gatekeeper of the afterlife. Right now, Tama only wants Ian to return to the Princess Villa.

"It's too late kid, whoever comes here won't be able to get out unless they can answer my question", said the gatekeeper of the afterlife.

Suddenly, Tama was dragged away by the wind that took him to the afterlife along with the closing of the gate. No one knows what will happen to Tama after this.

Kirana, Denok, and Limbur are already at the front of the afterlife gate. They are thinking about how they can bring Tama home. Meanwhile, Kirana has no connection at all with the gatekeeper of the afterlife.

"Ah, I have an idea, princess" said Denok.

"What is your idea?" asked Kirana.

"Nok, don't be careless, the Princess is still dizzy" said Limbur.

"Ihhh .. listen first" said Denok.

"Well, what the hell, hurry up," said Kirana.

Denok asked Kirana to contact the grim reaper because only the grim reaper that had access to the afterlife.

"Wow, that's right, you're really smart" said Limbur.

"Thanks for your compliment, then princess please calling the grim reaper" said Denok excitedly.

"Yes.. yes.. wait a moment".

Kirana took out her cellphone from her bag. She also tried to call the grim reaper but unfortunately, the grim reaper's cell phone number could not be reached.

"Unfortunately, the number is not active" said Kirana.

The three of them continued to discuss about how to open the gate to enter the afterlife and pick Tama up. But they didn't know that while they were busy discussing, the gate to the afterlife opened slowly. And the grim reaper came out of the door of the afterlife.

"Hoh, what's wrong with the residents of Princess Villa coming here?", said the grim reaper.

"This is the grim reaper" Denok immediately patted Kirana's shoulder.

"Haaa? where are you from?", asked Kirana.

"I came from the afterlife" replied the grim reaper pointing to the gate to the afterlife that had been closed again.

Kirana immediately approached the gate and banged on the gate.

"Oh No! it's closed.. hweee... sob.. sob.." said Kirana, groping for the gate to the afterlife that had been closed again.

Denok who is annoyed beats the Grim reaper's chest.

"Come on, open the gate!" shouted Denok.

"I can't open it lady, the gate to the afterlife is not my authority, I can only enter if I bring the spirit that I want to bring inside" said the grim reaper.

"Then why didn't you pick up my phone, bro? My slave is in there, how do I get it?", shouted Kirana.

"I was at work, if I am at work I can not hold my phone".

Then Kirana asked the Grim Reaper how to get Tama out of the afterlife. Then the Grim Reaper said that Tama could only come out if he managed to answer the question of the gatekeeper of the afterlife.

"Ouch, looks like I have to find a new slave, even though I haven't had a year yet", Kirana immediately went limp.

"Yes, which of all the servants, only sir Tama is the most handsome" said Denok.

"Huh, you flirty woman" said Limbur.

"Er, come on, don't make a fuss! If the gatekeeper of the afterlife isn't happy, he can just lock Tama inside for as long as he wants", said the Grim Reaper advising them.

Suddenly, Kirana thought about what the grim reaper said earlier about He only can enter to afterlife if escort the spirits.

"Hmm.. then we have to find people who just buried today", said Kirana.

"Nothing, I have brought everything buried today to the afterlife" said the grim reaper.

"Aaaarrgggh!! That sucks!!", shouted Kirana angrily.

Kirana was silent again and thought of another way. Nadia's name crossed his mind for a moment.

"Ah, Nadia! She must be willing to do anything for his boyfriend, what if we kill her tonight", said Kirana.

"Hus!! Don't be silly, sis" said the grim reaper.

"Hwaa, what else can I do? I'm almost desperate, how can I lose my slave", Kirana said whining to the grim reaper.

Meanwhile, there is no sign of Tama. It is not clear what his fate will be after this. Is Tama okay? Kirana is still asking questions in her heart.

5 hours ago in Jakarta, Nadia kept thinking about Tama. She thought that she could never jog with Tama because of his busy schedule. Nadia suddenly thought of a very bright idea for her. She intended to go to Serang City today. She wants to visit Tama's house and meet Tama's family. During the time they were dating, Tama had often met Nadia's parents. But unfortunately, Nadia has not even visited Tama's house. She felt that she was not nice as future daughter-in-law.

Nadia immediately asked her mother for permission to go to Serang City that day. Nadia's mother has also permitted Nadia. Nadia immediately got ready. After that, Nadia said goodbye to her mother.

"Be careful, you have to take the train for hours" said Nadia's mother.

"Sure, I'll be fine", shouted Nadia who ran away from him

Nadia has arrived at the train station. Not long after that, the green line train that will take her to Banten has arrived. Nadia immediately rushed into the train. She was very excited to be able to surprise Tama.

A few hours later, Nadia arrived in Serang. She took a motorcycle taxi until she arrived right in front of Tama's house. But unfortunately, the house looks like it has been abandoned for a long time. When Nadia was looking around Tama's house, a young mother who was Tama's neighbor came to Nadia.

"Miss, looking for who?"

"Oh, this is the house of Mr. Pratama's family, isn't it, ma'am?" asked Nadia.

Mr. Pratama is the name of Tama's father.

"True, but since his son died, Mr. Pratama and his family have moved" answered Tama's neighbor.

"Oh, I see, thank you for the info, then I'll excuse myself"

Nadia looks very disappointed. She walked away from Tama's house.

"Oh, but who was died?"

Nadia muttered to herself.
