Trailer

An: First I would like to admit something. Ever since I read this story there's been a trailer reaction fanfic that's been eating my head for months! I couldn't concentrate and now I can barely think of a good idea so to make it short, I made a reaction trailer fanfic with cw flash cast reacting to the trailer. Mind you I didn't put a lot of effort I just want this out of my head. This is set in an Au.

---

It was a normal day in Central City. Barry Allen, aka the Flash, was working at the Central City Police Department as a forensic scientist. He was analyzing some evidence from a recent robbery when he heard a loud noise outside. He looked out the window and saw a bright flash of light that engulfed the whole city.

"What the hell?" he muttered, grabbing his coat and running outside.

He was met by a scene of chaos and confusion. People were screaming and running in panic, cars were crashing and honking, and buildings were shaking. Barry scanned the area with his super-speed vision, looking for the source of the disturbance.

He saw a large circular portal in the sky, emitting a blinding white light that swallowed him. When his sight returned he saw several familiar faces. He recognized them as his friends and allies from Team Flash: Iris West, his lover, and journalist; Caitlin Snow, his friend, and bio-engineer; Cisco Ramon, his friend and tech genius; Joe West, his adoptive father and detective; Wally West, his brother-in-law, and fellow speedster; and Harrison Wells, his mentor, and scientist from Earth-2.

"Guys!" he shouted, speeding towards them. "Are you okay?"

He reached them and helped them get up. They looked confused and disoriented.

"Barry?" Iris said, hugging him. "What's going on? Where are we?"

"I don't know," Barry said. "We're still in Central City, but something weird is happening."

He looked up at the portal again and saw more people falling out of it. He gasped as he recognized some of them as his enemies: Leonard Snart, aka Captain Cold, a master thief and leader of the Rogues; Mick Rory, aka Heat Wave, a pyromaniac and Snart's partner; Lisa Snart, aka Golden Glider, Snart's sister and a jewel thief; Mark Mardon, aka Weather Wizard, a metahuman with weather manipulation powers; Hartley Rathaway, aka Pied Piper, a former protégé of Wells turned sonic weapon expert; James Jesse, aka Trickster, a psychotic prankster and terrorist; Axel Walker, aka Trickster II, Jesse's son and apprentice; Bette Sans Souci, aka Plastique a metahuman with explosive touch; Roy Bivolo, aka Rainbow Raider, a metahuman with emotion manipulation powers; Tony Woodward, aka Girder, a metahuman with metal skin; Jake Simmons, aka Deathbolt, a metahuman with electricity generation powers; Shawna Baez, aka Peek-a-Boo, a metahuman with teleportation powers; Farooq Gibran, aka Blackout, a metahuman who can drain electricity and speed; and Grodd, a telepathic gorilla and former experiment of Wells.

Barry was about to run toward them and stop them when he saw more people falling out of the portal. He was shocked to see some of them were speedsters like him, but not the friendly ones. He recognized them as his most dangerous foes: Eobard Thawne, aka Reverse-Flash, a time-traveling speedster and his arch-nemesis; Hunter Zolomon, aka Zoom, a speedster from Earth-2 and a serial killer; Edward Clariss, aka Rival, a speedster from Flashpoint and a rival of Wally; Savitar, a mysterious speedster and a self-proclaimed god of speed; Clifford DeVoe, aka Thinker, a metahuman with super-intelligence and a master manipulator.

"Barry!" Iris screamed, seeing the speedster villains. "What are they doing here?"

"I don't know!" Barry said.

He was about to charge at them when he heard a loud voice booming from the portal.

"Attention, everyone!" the voice said. "You have been chosen to participate in a special event. You have been summoned by me, a celestial being who is interested in your fates. You will watch a trailer for a new villain who will challenge the Flash and his allies. His name is Tachyon, and he is faster than any speedster you have ever faced. He is coming soon, and he will make you all suffer. Watch and learn."

The voice then fell silent. The portal then changed into a giant screen that showed nothing but static.

"What?" Barry said. He looked around and saw that everyone else was equally confused and annoyed.

He felt a surge of anger and frustration. He hated being manipulated and threatened by someone he didn't know. He hated being forced to watch something he didn't want to see. He hated being powerless and helpless.

He clenched his fists and glared at the screen.

"Whoever you are," he said. "You've made a big mistake. You've messed with the wrong people. You've messed with the Flash."

He hoped that the celestial being was listening. He hoped that he would show himself and face him. He hoped that he would give him a chance to fight back.

The screen then flared.

"I'm not like the other speedsters you've faced, Flash. They all had something that drove them to become what they are. A tragic past, a twisted obsession, a lust for power, or a simple greed. They all had a reason to hate you or the world." The figure said.

The trailer paused and showed the faces of the speedster villains: Zoom, Reverse-Flash, Savitar, Godspeed, and Rival. They all looked angry or smug.

The trailer resumed and showed a scene of Central City in ruins. Buildings were collapsing, roads were cracking, fires were raging, and people were screaming. The figure ran through the chaos, causing more destruction.

The music wasn't helping it either. It was ominous, tyrannical, and almost like... propaganda of a dictator.

Team Flash watched in horror and shock as they saw the destruction caused by Tachyon.

Barry felt a cold sweat on his forehead. He couldn't believe what he was seeing. He couldn't believe that this was his city, his home, his future. He felt a surge of fear and guilt. He wondered how this could happen, how he could fail so badly, how he could let this monster destroy everything he loved.

Iris felt a tight grip on her chest. She couldn't breathe properly. She couldn't look away from the screen. She couldn't look at Barry, who was standing next to her. She felt a wave of sadness and despair. She wondered if they had a future together, if they had a family if they had any happiness left. She wondered if they would survive this nightmare, or if they would die in it.

Caitlin felt a tear roll down her cheek. She couldn't stop it. She couldn't control her emotions. She couldn't help but feel sorry for the people who suffered and died in the future. She felt a pang of sympathy and compassion. She wondered if she could do anything to help them, to heal them, to save them.

Cisco felt a shiver down his spine. He couldn't shake it off. He couldn't make a joke or a comment. He couldn't lighten the mood or break the tension. He felt a shock of disbelief and curiosity. He wondered how this was possible, how this was real, how this was happening.

Joe felt a clenched fist on his side. He couldn't relax it. He couldn't calm down or be rational. He couldn't act like a cop or a father. He felt a burst of anger and frustration. He wondered who this Tachyon was, what he wanted, and why he did this.

Wally felt a twitch in his leg. He couldn't ignore it. He couldn't sit still or be patient. He couldn't wait for something to happen. He felt a rush of adrenaline and impatience. He wondered if he could run faster if he could catch up, if he could beat Tachyon.

Thawne felt a smirk on his lips. He couldn't hide it. He couldn't pretend to care or to be surprised. He couldn't fool anyone or himself. He felt a thrill of amusement and satisfaction. He wondered if this was his plan, if this was his creation if this was his legacy. He wondered if he could take credit if he could take advantage, if he could take control.

The other villains had different reactions as well. Some of them were in awe of Tachyon's power and destruction. They admired him and envied him. They wanted to join him. They wanted to be like him and surpass him.

Some of them were in fear of Tachyon's wrath and cruelty. They wanted to avoid him.

Some of them were indifferent to Tachyon's presence and actions. They didn't care about him or anything else. They wanted to do their own thing and follow their own agenda. They wanted to have fun and cause trouble.

Tachyon then resumed his speech.

"I was different from all of you," he said. "I had a happy life, a good job, a loving family. I was a teacher. I taught physics. I was respected and admired by my colleagues and students. I was content and fulfilled by my career and my passion."

The screen then showed a flashback of Tachyon's past life. He almost looks like Barry, blond hair, blue eyes, same skin color. He was seen wearing glasses and a suit, smiling, and talking to his students in a classroom. Everything about him screamed a decent man who wouldn't harm a fly.

What in the world happened to him to cause so much destruction!?

"But then," he said. "Everything changed."

The screen then showed a scene of a black and white figure and Barry fighting across Central City. The figure was Tachyon, wearing his mask and suit. He was moving so fast that he was barely visible. He was dodging and attacking Barry with ease, hitting him with punches and kicks. He was also using his speed to create sonic booms, lightning bolts, and vortexes. He was overwhelming Barry with his speed and power. Then to their shock, he began to use telekinesis, portals, constructs, superstrength, and many more.

Devoe began to think of ways to gain Tachyon's abilities so much versatility was wasted by this man. Yet he couldn't shake the feeling it wouldn't well for him if he succeeded.

The cast watched in shock and fear as they saw Tachyon fighting Barry. They couldn't believe that he was faster and stronger than Barry. They couldn't believe that he was beating him so badly.

Barry felt a surge of anger. His counterpart couldn't keep up with Tachyon. He couldn't land a hit on him. He couldn't defend himself from him. He felt like he was fighting a ghost, a shadow, a blur.

The screen then showed Barry being replaced by Thawne, then Zoom, then Rival, then Godspeed, Savitar, and finally Black Flash. They were all speedsters who had fought against Barry in the past. They were all enemies who had tried to kill him or ruin his life. They were all powerful and dangerous.

But they were all no match for Tachyon.

The screen showed Tachyon fighting each of them one by one, using the same tactics and techniques. He was moving faster and hitting harder than any of them. He was mocking and taunting them as he fought them. He was showing no mercy or remorse as he defeated them.

The cast watched in disbelief and horror as they saw Tachyon fighting the other speedsters. They couldn't believe that he was faster and stronger than any of them. They couldn't believe that he was beating them so easily.

The speedster villains felt a mix of emotions as they saw Tachyon fighting their counterparts. Some of them felt awe and envy of Tachyon's power and skill. Some of them felt fear and hatred of Tachyon's wrath and cruelty. Some of them felt indifference and boredom with Tachyon's challenge and victory.

The screen then showed Tachyon standing over the fallen bodies of the other speedsters, laughing maniacally. He looked at the camera and spoke.

Tachyon continued his speech. "Don't worry, Barry. You're not the reason why I'm like this. You're not the reason why I'm a villain, a monster. I was always a monster, deep inside. A megalomaniac, a psychopath. But I kept it in check, most of the time. I only acted out when someone wronged me, when someone deserved it."

Everyone couldn't what happened next. Tachyon skinned a teen alive! He did with a satisfied smile as if he was proud of his work. Some vomited, some were disgusted while some were almost envious.

Team Flash could only stare in shock. This… This wasn't a villain… This was a monster. And that monster was coming.

"But then I got powers, just like you. I was struck by lightning, just like you. I wanted to be like you, a hero, a legend. But the speed force didn't want me. It tried to kill me, to erase me. It said I had something dangerous in me, something that could destroy everything."

Next, they watched Tachyon screaming in agony, as his body was torn piece by piece but something was keeping him together and it fought back hard! Barry watched as something tore into the speed force and took a chunk of it before placing it in Tachyon.

The rest of the speedsters caught it as well and wondered what it was. If the speedforce felt threatened by it then it must be something powerful and seeing how it tore a chunk of cosmic energy with ease meant that this thing was out for blood.

"And when it failed, it trapped me in my own mind, in my own nightmare. It turned me into a bumbling idiot, a laughing stock. It took away everything from me: my intelligence, my dignity, my sanity. But I fought back. I broke free. I took back my life. I became faster and stronger than ever before. I became Tachyon, the fastest man alive."

Hearing this from Tachyon caused some of the rogues to glare at Barry. So this was his… or rather the speedforce's fault.

Barry wasn't happy either but if this Tachyon had something dangerous and the speedforce needed to act that meant it had a good reason. He just wished that the speedforce hadn't acted rashly and started this mess.

Iris and the rest of the team began to comfort him but knew it barely helped yet this was the least they can do for the hero.

Thawne felt a surge of recognition and resentment. He couldn't believe how similar their origins were. He couldn't believe that Tachyon had also been a fan of the Flash who became his enemy. He couldn't believe that Tachyon had also suffered and struggled to become faster and stronger. He hated Tachyon for being a copycat and a rival. He hated Tachyon for being better and worse than him.

Zoom felt a flicker of respect and disdain. He couldn't deny that Tachyon was another psychopath who enjoyed killing and torturing. He respected Tachyon for being ruthless and relentless. He respected Tachyon for being a worthy opponent and a worthy prey. But he disliked Tachyon for trying to control his darkness and madness.

Godspeed and Savitar felt a spark of admiration and contempt. They couldn't ignore that Tachyon was driven by his desire to be stronger and faster. They couldn't ignore that Tachyon was motivated by his ambition to be the best and the only. They respected Tachyon for his determination and perseverance. They admired Tachyon for his confidence and arrogance. But they thought that Tachyon was beneath them.

There is only one God of speed.

"Don't you think that's messed up, Barry?" Tachyon asked. "Don't you think that's unfair? Don't you think that's cruel? How the forces of nature and the universe conspired against me, tried to stop me, tried to break me. How they gave me a gift and then took it away. How they made me a hero and then made me a villain."

They all watched this monster chase after something Red with a face of death. Both fought like bloodthirsty animals. Some winced at each blow and those who knew how to fight can tell they were aiming for a kill shot.

But Barry and Thawne can see the red one was fighting like he supposes to hold something... A bow perhaps? A blade?

"But you know what?" he continued. "I don't care. I don't care about them or their rules. I don't care about you or your morals. I don't care about anyone or anything."

"And you know what else?" he added. "I don't want the world. I don't want to rule it or destroy it. I'm not some corny villain with a grand plan or a noble cause. I just want a city. A city where I can run free and do whatever I want."

They watched Tachyon sitting on throne-like rubble as both champions of the positive and negative speedforce stood together. Ready to fight the menace. Tachyon merely smiled and patted off the dust of his suit.

"And you know what city that is?" he asked. "Central City. Your city. The city of the Flash. The city where it all began and where it all will end. The city where you live and where you die."

They watched as Flash and Reverse Flash worked together and barely kept up with Tachyon who quickly duplicated himself and started teleporting.

Those aware of time travel could only stare in shock. Tachyon was time travelling but why wasn't he creating time remnants? Something was wrong. Thawne quickly figured out, tachyon wasn't time traveling... no he was but he wasn't. He was simply moving too fast that "time" gave him shortcuts just to keep track of his movements. He was bending time and space to such a point that it has no choice but to break its rules of continuity for him.

This can only be achieved by being in tune with speedforce. But Tachyon wasn't using the speedforce. No... He was using something else.

"Of course, I would settle for a street," he said. "But with the way things are, with the way reality is, a world might be what I need," he said. "A world where I can keep up with the crazy ones. The ones who travel through time and space. The ones who come from different earths and dimensions. The ones who have different powers and abilities."

Then they watch the monster begin racing around a black hole then the scene switched to a young man with armor with an "S" on it. Tachyon was bloody but was laughing like he was having the time of his life. Both charged with their fist vibrating and the world shattered.

"And you know who they are?" he asked. "They are you and your allies. They are you and your enemies. They are you and your family."

"And they are all here, right now, " he said. "And they are all going to die, very soon, by my hand," he said.

In the end, Tachyon was sitting at a grassy field staring at the first rays of dawn with a satisfied smile, and behind him was a littered pile of corpses, heads mounted on a pike. The shocking part he was talking to Barry who looked like a mummy or starved to death.

---

The villains and heroes had different reactions to Tachyon's speech and trailer. Some of them were shocked and scared by his power and cruelty. Some of them were impressed and envious of his speed and skill. Some of them were curious and wary of his origin and motive. Some of them were indifferent and bored by his challenge and threat.

The Flash and his allies were mostly shocked and scared by Tachyon. They couldn't believe that he was faster and stronger than any speedster they had ever faced. They couldn't believe that he had nothing to do with Barry or the Flash. They couldn't believe that he wanted to destroy Central City and kill them all.

The Rogues were most impressed and envious of Tachyon. They admired his ability to cause chaos and mayhem. They admired his confidence and arrogance. They admired his achievement and supremacy. They wanted to join him or surpass him.

The other villains were mostly curious and wary of Tachyon. They wondered how he got his powers and why he hated the Flash. They wondered what he wanted from them and why he brought them here. They wondered if they could deal with him or escape from him.

The speedster villains had mixed feelings about Tachyon. Some of them respected him for his determination and perseverance. Some of them hated him for being a copycat and a rival. Some of them thought that he was beneath them or above them.

They all watched Tachyon's trailer with different emotions, but they all knew one thing: Tachyon was a serious threat, and they had to be ready for him.
