Chapter 31: Lance Scolds Me for Being a Drama Queen

"Quite a drama you put up yesterday," Lance Hua said to replace his 'good morning'. Chiaki sauntered to the kitchen area, pausing a little bit longer to look at the breakfast spread that the servant had prepared. 

It was the usual congee with scallion and fried shallots topping, slices of mouthwatering fresh fish hidden underneath the creamy white. A small bowl filled with chilli oil waiting for her to dip in a spoon and pour the vibrant red goodness over the innocent congee.

A pot of brewed osmanthus tea stood in the middle of the table. Lance had to have brewed it himself. Otherwise, he wouldn't have half of his mug filled with it.

"It's normal here. I don't see any issue in admitting defeat. It was just a momentary break before resuming stronger."

"Pah!" Lance Hua scoffed, followed by a derogatory chuckle. "Don't try to confuse me with your sweet words. You were just uninterested in meeting that many people."
