A day after, Hu Liqin, the daughter of the Hu Ling was brought to the sect for a special awakening ceremony. Because she was a member of a prominent family and because of her special case, she was given a chance to use the awakening array platform. In a wide courtyard in the six star school, Hu Ling; the head of the Hu household, Duan Jian; the sect leader and few selected elders from both parties had joined them. Long Bai, who is disguising as a mysterious alchemist had gone to a separate way after doing what he is supposed to do at the Hu residence.
Flashing back to yesterday's events after the capture of elder Hong and her cooperatives, the case of the child was dealt with no dramatic event. When the case was settled, only Hu Ling and Long Bai stayed inside the room while the rest were asked to stay outside and wait.
Since Long Bai decided to help, he looked to it that the child will be saved. Retrieving the cold type pill, he then switched it to the fire essence pill.
"Miss Ling, this is a fire essence pill. If you give this to your daughter, you will be able to destroy the poison inside her body. Since your child doesn't have the essence core yet, you need to circulate the fire essence yourself. Will you do it?"
Hu Ling resolutely accepted the task and went to her child. After giving the pill orally, Hu Ling guided the pill to her lower abdominal cavity using her essence. She was careful as possible not to be to rough in releasing the medicinal effects of the pill. As the pill reached the designated area, she stimulated the pill to slowly break down. Small wisps of fire essence came out and spread all throughout the child's body. As the wisps are being guided at the different parts of the body, every poison particle they encounter were being destroyed. Hu Ling circulated the fire essence multiple times until her daughter's complexion started to look good. That moment, Long Bai saw one of the strongest force that could drive a person to do things with their utmost capabilities. Such dedication can only be achieved with the effects of a strong motivation.
"Miss Ling, you did a spectacular job. Take this, it is a life extending pill I made. Although your child's status looks stable, she has lost her vitality over the span of two years. Use this to restore it."
Hu Ling was not able to stop her tears as she received the kindness of the mysterious man. She even asked for what she could even give in return to the extent of bowing to the ground.
"Miss Ling, my job is done here. I will return to my quarters and leave this place in the morning. Just focus first in making your daughter recover."
Long Bai exited the room while being escorted by the house head. As he stepped outside, eyes from the members who are waiting was concentrated in him but was redirected to the house head when she made an announcement about her daughter's safe condition.
When the morning came, Long Bai went home with his cosmic pouch full with essence shards and some spiritual herbs chosen from the Hu household treasury. It was one of the most fulfilling even Long Bai experienced in his two lifetimes.
Back on the present at the six star school's grounds, Hu Liqin just entered the platform where she would receive her essence core. Upon activation, bright lights cover the child's body. Everyone was observing the projection of the core being developed when they noticed something.
"Sect leader, what is happening, why did the core stopped developing?"
The sect leader made his observation. On the other side, Hu Ling started to feel uneasy with the situation.
" Sect leader, will my daughter live a life without a core? Why is this happening...just after her recovery, another hardship has occured. Oh my dear child, your mother has failed you.."
"Miss Ling, be at ease. What you're thinking is not the case. Your daughter, I believe will have a long life ahead of her. Look!"
As Duan Jian continuously fed the array with essence crystals, the core formation that stagnated resumed its activity. Everyone who was witnessing the event was mystified. Even the sect leader's knowledge was challenged as he haven't seen or read anything about the current situation. The ceremony lasted for more than an hour after feeding the array with thousands of essence crystals. As they check on the child's status, everyone sighed relieved expression after confirming that there were no abnormalities being shown.
Little Liqin was then dircted to a crystal ball where her core grade will be evaluated. Giving her what to do, she did as instructed and felt the essence inside the ball resonate with hers. A moment later, tiny ice crystals formed around the shining crystal ball. The crystals were like tiny stars that were glistening around the crystal ball, it was a spectacular sight to behold.
"This..." Duan Jian was speechless at what he saw. The thing in front of him was only recorded on history books, the birth of a true genius. In a small city like theirs and being isolated from the main land, this kind of event is considered legends for them.
"Miss Ling, your child is blessed by the heavens. She possesses a unique type of essence core that is only seen in legends. You need to prepare yourself."
"Sect leader, what do you mean prepare? Is there something I need to be wary of? My daughter is fine right? What problems could there be?"
Hu Ling can't tell what she's feeling right now as multiple emotions are clashing; happy for her child's recovery and successful awakening while anxious about the sect's warning.
"If I am not wrong, any moment now, they will show up. They must have detected your child's unique essence core. I'm talking about cultivators who are on another level. The ones who were able to overcome the lightning tribulation and cultivated earth- shaking martial skills. The realm I still fail to reach, the realm of immortals."
Everyone became silent after hearing those words. Immortals, the term they always associate with the mainland. If immortals would arrive today, they would definitely take the person with them and nurture that child with the best cultivation resources. Hu Ling was conflicted, learning that her daughter will have a good future but at the same time be separated with her after all these years. She missed her interaction with her child for two years and yet she would be separated physically this time. She can't put how she would react to this.
Elders of who heard the sect leader began talking and discussed what to do.
"Sect leader, if people from mainland will come, shouldn't we prepare something?"
Duan Jian looked at the elders and gave a surrendered reply. "It is too late for that. They are already here."
Above the mountain where the sect was located, three giant floating ships appeared simultaneously. First was a ship with a large banner showing a triangle of a sword, spear, and an axe in it followed by a ship with the phoenix insignia while the third was an old ship with a skull flag. Minutes later, a white ship appeared next to the three. It's entire facade was covered with snow and on its hull, the picture of a castle and a snowy mountain was drawn.
There were people who started coming out of the ship but after they met up in the air, only the ones from the white ship came close to Duan Jian's location. There were three of them, all females with astounding beauties. The two on both sides were riding on a sword while the one at the center was floating by herself. Slowly, they descended and landed in front of Duan Jian.
"Esteemed guests, welcome to my six star school. I hope you're not offended by this backwater place. How may we serve you?"
Duan Jian kneeled in front of the three guests. The rest behind him followed the gesture as they understood its implications. If they show something that would irritate them, they might loose their lives. No one dared to make a glance fearing the worst case that would happen.
The entire city was in an uproar after seeing the gigantic floating ships appear before their eyes.
