Chapter 171: The Meeting

Robin scoffs, shakily crossing her hands tightly over her chest. "Have you forgotten everything I did to Malik? How I trapped him with me and made him sad? How I treated him so badly just because... I wanted him?" Her voice drips with bitterness, a sharp edge that cuts through the heavy silence in the room.

Ramsey's expression shifts, a mix of disbelief and confusion washing over his features. 

He opens his mouth, searching for words, but nothing comes to mind. 

He licks his lips, his brow furrowing as he tries to argue. "But, Robin—"

"No, Ramsey," she interrupts, her tone hardening. "I was horrible to him." A laugh escapes her, but it's devoid of humor, a hysterical sound that echoes in the dimly lit room.

 "He has every right to despise me."

Ramsey shifts on the bed, inching closer to her, his eyes searching hers for understanding. "Robin..."

She shakes her head, the laughter fading into a pained expression.
