Mark used Ling Tianya's body to shield most of himself. In order to prevent Ruan Zeyan from shooting his head, he shook his head left and right behind Ling Tianya. His voice became a little anxious. "Ruan Zeyan, it looks like we've underestimated you. To think that you're able to survive under that kind of attack."
As Mark spoke, he continued to keep Ling Tianya shackled and backed away. In front of him was a clearing, but behind was a man-made lake.
Ruan Zeyan glanced towards the man-made lake and immediately guessed Mark's intention. He wanted to jump into the lake with Ling Tianya and swim to the other end. That way, he still had a chance.
At the thought, Ruan Zeyan's face grew cloudy and even grimmer. Ling Tianya couldn't swim. Even with Mark pulling her along, there was no guarantee that there wouldn't be danger for her in the water.
