Chapter 64: Amped Up Training

We continued to fight for… Was it days? Weeks? Months? I couldn't tell. It was just one thing after the other as techniques were eventually ingrained into me. 

One day, I finally knocked Zayn to the ground with the wooden sword that had never broken no matter how much pressure we had put upon it. After that, Zayn had simply smiled.

Zayn looked at me with an expression that was practically a beast looking at prey. "Now we are going to be using our actual equipment…"

I blinked once, and then looked down at the Ascendant ring on my finger. I slowly removed it and then transformed it into its sword form.

As the blade formed in my hand, Zayn nodded with his own sword that looked like a katana. "That blade doesn't suit our style of fighting, you know. It's too massive."

I blinked. "It does feel a little unwieldy, but wouldn't a bigger sword be a better lever to exert force?"
