"Um, can you help me stop the bleeding?" I asked, my voice strained with urgency and pain.

Christiana's eyes widened in horror as she saw the state of my hand. Her mouth fell open slightly, and for a moment, she was frozen, her gaze fixed on the blood streaming down my arm. The color drained from her face, and I could see her hands trembling. Her usual composure was shattered by the sight, and she looked almost on the verge of tears.

"Oh my God, Chris! What happened?" she exclaimed, her voice a mixture of fear and concern.

"I'll explain later. Right now, I need your help," I replied, trying to keep my own panic in check.
