Chapter 1: A Normal Day
Ryder was just like any other 16-year-old high school student. He had his daily routine of waking up early, attending school, and then returning home to enjoy his free time. This was a typical day in his life, or so he thought. It was the year 2050, and Earth was different from what Ryder had known before. The advancements in technology and science had created a world that was more efficient and connected than ever before. But little did he know that this day would be anything but normal.
As Ryder was walking home from school around 3 pm, he noticed that the sky was an eerie blood-red color. It was a sight that he had never seen before, and it filled him with a sense of unease. As he continued walking, he noticed that people around him were acting strange. They were biting each other for no apparent reason, and some were even foaming at the mouth. Ryder felt a sense of panic building up inside him, and he knew that he needed to get home as soon as possible.
He picked up his pace and started running, hoping to make it home before anything else happened. However, he soon realized that the situation was much worse than he thought. As he turned a corner, he saw a group of people feasting on a body lying on the ground. It was a gruesome sight, and Ryder knew that he needed to keep running if he wanted to stay alive.
Finally, he arrived home, panting and out of breath. He felt a sense of relief wash over him as he closed the door behind him, but it was short-lived. As he looked around his house, he noticed a strange red orb sitting on his table. Without thinking, he reached out and touched it. The next thing he knew, he was engulfed in a blinding light, and everything went black
