Rain coughed and quickly grabbed her glass of water, taking a sip to recover. "Sanya, could you not drop a bombshell like that while I'm eating?" she said, half annoyed and half amused as she set her glass down.

Sanya shrugged, unbothered. "I'm just saying. Carla doesn't strike me as someone who'd sit quietly after hearing something like that. You should be prepared."

Rain sighed, her appetite momentarily forgotten. "Of course, I've thought about it. It's been in the back of my mind ever since he woke up and mentioned Carla's name instead of mine. But I won't let it stop me. Xander is my husband, and I'll make sure he remembers what we have or better yet, I'll make him fall in love with me all over again."

Sanya smirked, leaning back in her chair. "That's my girl! Carla won't know what hit her in case she will mess with you. You've already proven you can win him over, so this should be a piece of cake."
