Chapter 1: Chapter 1
Floating through the void, there is nothing else better to do than dive through my memories to see any possible move I would have done to avoid a somewhat dumb move before I end up this situation, but I have a feeling nothing I do would have changed the outcome even if I tried.
"Okay, your time is up. Step forward and proceed through the portal in front of you."
Startled, I quickly tried to turn around only to find that I couldn't even move a muscle to move my head.
"Just use your mind, young one."
Using my mind, I slowly turned around and finally got to see the owner of the voice.
And what I saw was... nothing.
"I'm I going insane?"
I thought confusedly, but reality said otherwise since the space in front of me shrank down, or rather, the being in front of me started to shrink down to my level.
Oh.. That's why I couldn't see a thing this being is just too damn big.
"Comfortable?"
The being in front of me asked, surprising me since I didn't know it could read minds.
"Well you aren't talking through your mouth since you don't have a physical body, but you know, since that accident started by my mistake I'll do you any favor you ask of me."
Wait, Mistake? I mean, me accidentally blown up myself is your mistake.
"Yes."
And that was?
"Sorry I can't tell you that."
I mean no worries, That's what I sign up for anyways. Equipment malfunctioning is not a laughing joke, A guy almost lost his head because an industrial saw blade wasn't bolt down tight.
So anyways what's going to happen to me now?
"Do you want another chance at life?"
Huh? Can you do that?
"You're forgetting that I am a comic being. It's a simple matter for me to create a body for you to occupy."
Sure I'm not one to give up a second chance.
The being in front of me raised it's hand and suddenly, I found myself in the air, falling to what could say.. my second death.
"Motherfucker! Really? Just say you want to kill me."
I shouted to the sky wondering if I unknowingly make a deal with the devil instead.
'Just think you are gliding through the air.'
"What the fuck that's gonna do. I never skydive in my entire fucking life."
'Just think of Superman.'
Following his instructions, I tried gliding only to panic since I'm rapidly approaching the ground.
"Fuck. That's not going work you dip-fucking-shit. Ahh! Fuucck!"
I brace myself since I can even see the ants on the ground, I feel the breeze calming around to a complete stop. I peep through my eyelid to find myself somehow floating awkwardly in the air.
I looked down the ground and dumbfounded at how I'm not even close to the ground.
"The absolute fuck is going on?"
I ask myself incredulously as I floating awkwardly in the air when suddenly I'm started hearing vehicles honking and people taking.
I concentrate on my hearing only to lose my sudden flight.
I wince and cover up my ears since it became sensitive to sound.
Getting up from the ground, I noticed how I'm not feeling any pain. I rotated my shoulder getting a pop.
I looked around and noticed how the trees standing still, the grass ain't moving and butterfly just floating still in the air.
I take a deep breath and exhale as the temperature drop a little. I realized that was my doing.
"I have superpowers."
I whisper to myself, excited to suddenly test out my strength I walk close to a tree and spotted a boulder not to far since I'm gonna leave the poor tree alone.
Finding a good grip I give the boulder a little thug and it flow about several hundred meters from where I'm standing.
"Sweet."
I grin when I remember the grass is still not moving, I try slowing down my perception then everything I did started to catch up. Wind howling form the boulder I threw and the sonic booms at the speed I was moving.
"I'm a kryptonian!"
Excited at the revelation I shouted out.
'Not quite.'
A voice suddenly cut through my mind.
"Huh?"
