Chapter 1: Runeheart Kingdom
Ozon Continent, Eastern Region, Astein Province.
Deep within the province, there is a place where no trees and plants can grow. Where it is nearly impossible to cultivate plants and trees. And is also one of the Five Barren Lands in the province.
In this barren land, there lay a kingdom that is unexpectedly situated in the middle of the Golden Desert. The kingdom which only consists of one rundown city where the clear evidence of poor living conditions can be seen on its citizens.
Facing against the boiling heat of the sun, lack of food, drought, and many other problems, the kingdom is now facing another problem.
Their loving and benevolent king is at death's door, and the crown prince next in line was a retard. Though it was not his fault for being a retard when he was actually a genius when he was young.
At the age of 8, he was already a Level 7 Trainee Warrior and was hailed as the person who will lead their kingdom to prosperity. Unfortunately, on his 9th birthday, an accident where an assassin broke in into his room and tried assassinating him occurred. He was lucky to escape but his head hit the ground hard as he fell from a high place.
After that, his eyes lost their usual brilliance and were replaced by a pair of soulless eyes. The citizens were all disappointed but they did not despise the crown prince as it was not his fault.
They still treated him the same, as there are no nobles with a superior complex in the kingdom. The crown prince did not face any other threats after that incident which further consolidates the fact that the assassin was sent by another kingdom.
But that is all in the past now, as ten years elapsed and tomorrow will be the crown prince's 19th birthday, the king suddenly collapsed on his throne.
The royal doctor then confirmed that the king only has a few hours to live. The Prime Minister and the other officials were shaken by this news.
The King was a wise person who was also the reason why the Runeheart Kingdom still stands as of this day. If he dies, then it can only lead to the Runeheart Kingdoms fall.
Even with the citizen's unwavering loyalty to the kingdom, the Prime Minister and others knows that they can't allow 15000 citizens to die along with the kingdom's fall.
So they had decided to hold a meeting after the kings' death.

Inside the royal room, an old man with a long beard was lying on the bed. A middle-aged man wearing a leather armor was standing by his side.
The old man was Jose Runeheart, the dying king of Runeheart Kingdom. While the middle-aged man standing beside him was his right hand and most loyal retainer, Hans Solo.
"Hans, my friend, it seems like my time has come." The king weakly smiled. Though the king looks like an old man, he was in fact, just in his thirties, barely considered old and was at the prime of his life.
But because of the constant use of his life force to be awake 24 hours for ten years, his life span was consumed.
Hans looked at the king, his old friend, and best buddy. His eyes can't help but moisten as he sees his friend breathe slowly, eyes flickering, and the aura of death slowly growing.
"Can you call Art here?" The king asked with difficulty. "I have something to tell him and wish to see him one last time."
Hans was just about to tell him something but decided against it. In the end, he nodded his head.
"Yes, you're majesty." Hans then left and went to get the crown prince from his room.
Seeing his friend leave with hidden unwillingness in his eyes, the king could only sigh helplessly. Everything started when he, the king started burning his own life span to keep himself awake doing many things just to keep the kingdom standing.
Which ended up leaving his only son unattended. Though his life was not in any risk any longer, his son still needed special attention with his special case.
He then took out a ring, a simple looking black ring, with no engravings or any sort. But it holds importance that can't be compared with any treasures in the world. The only remembrance he had left is this black ring, which she owns.
A mother who died at his birth, a falling kingdom, no relatives, in the middle of a desert, lacks intelligence, and a dying father.
The king was worried about his son after he left this world. Although there is still Hans and the loving citizens of Runeheart Kingdom, a parent's love can't be replaced with anything. Zeoart, his son will be turning 19 tomorrow, but he has the mentality of a nine-year-old.
What will happen to him after he is gone? The king thought to himself. It was then at that moment that the door open and Hans walk in followed by a young man with a strikingly and devilish appearance.
If it were not for his soulless eyes, he would have been a disaster level handsome young man that will make millions of ladies cry.
"Art..." The king wanted to say something, but he realized that his son would not be able to understand him. He just sighed as he gives the ring to his son.
"You're mother wanted me to give this ring to you when you turn 19. It just so happens that your birthday will be tomorrow but it seems like I will not be able to make it. Take it." the king said after much difficulty.
He then looked at his son, with regret not having been able to protect him at that time. His son had a very bright future, but it all ended during that accident.
Hans then brought Zeoart out and back to his room. He then quickly return to the king's side, as if he was afraid that the king would die when he is not by his beside.
But by the time he came back, his greatest fear came true.

King Jose Runeheart
A great wise king, benevolent and loving to his subjects. Died at the age of 37 because he burned his life span just to keep the kingdom standing.
This will be known by the generations to come and was also the mark of the beginning.

Zeoart was inside his room, laying on his bed. His soulless eyes were staring at the ceiling above him. His expressionless face makes it hard to discern what he was feeling but a single drop of tear explains everything.
He may not be able to respond to the things happening around him, but he is aware of what is happening around him. It was really hard for him to have no control over his own body.
Zeoart had already tried everything he could think of, but nothing works in his current situation. He had been trying and trying for ten years and there's no result.
And now, his father is dying and he can't do anything about it. Therefore, he hates himself for being weak.
So, to forget the pain he is feeling right now. He closes his eyes as he sleeps everything and hopes that all of this is just a nightmare, a very bad nightmare.

I am currently in need of ideas, as you guys can see, my novel will be about Zeoart summoning fictional characters. So I need some ideas who should I summon.
I have now decided on the first summon, so suggest anyone you feel like would have a chance. I will be choosing base on my plot.
