Summer Days *1*

This entire story is on Quizilla already I'm just moving it over to my Wattpad account. I have to rewrite most of the beginning parts because on Quizilla it’s written as a quiz but once I get past chapter 22 all I have to do is copy and paste which will make uploading really quick and easy.

This is the first book of a four part series.

As the car rolled to a stop you quickly began to throw your belongings into the carry-on bag. The last thing you threw in was your PSP. The words ‘Game Over’ were flashing on the screen as you turned it off. You were playing Kingdom Hearts, and some Final Fantasy occasionally, during the 3 hour drive to the airport with your parents.

“[Name], are you nervous?” You mother cooed as she set her arm over your shoulders lovingly.

You sighed with a small smile playing on your lips.

With a shake of your head, sending your [Hair Color] locks flying around your face, you replied, “Mom this isn’t the first time I’ve flown alone.”

“I know dear but it’s going to be the longest flight you’ve been on.” She said.

Her eyes began to mist up, and you could tell she was doing her best to bite back all the tears that threatened to flow over. You stepped forward and wrapped your mom into a tight hug.

“I’ll be fine. Don’t worry.” You said reassuringly.

“[Name] is a big girl now honey. Don’t worry so much.” Your dad added.

You shot him a smile and turned to hug him as well.

“I’ll miss you guys.” You said to them both as you pulled away from your father’s embrace.

“We’ll see you in a few days. Call us as soon as you land in Seoul. We have a friend who will be waiting there for you, alright?” You mother said fixing your hair with her fingers.

You politely brushed her away and put a bright grin on your face, “I know. Love you guys.”

You began to walk away as they called out that they loved you as well. You weren’t exactly excited to move to South Korea. It was an opportunity that your father had to take concerning his job of course, but you weren’t thrilled to leave your friends. With a sigh you made your way through the airport and began the long process of getting ready to board your plane.

After a few hours, and several security checks later, you found yourself sitting in your seat with the plane lifting itself off the ground. Nerves began to creep in reflexively but you forced them away as soon as they came. Only moments later a sign turned off letting all passengers know it was alright to take off their seatbelt.

You unlocked yours and enjoyed the fact you had no one sitting beside you.

“Excuse me miss would you care for a drink?” A stewardess asked as she rolled her cart down the small aisle. You shook your head and she continued on her way. Seeing there was nothing else to do you pulled out your music player, stuck in your earphones, and dozed off into a light sleep.

“Sorry but it seems we’ll be having some turbulence.” The captain’s voice called out from the intercom. As he said the words you were still rubbing the spot on the side of your head where it hit the airplane’s window. Talk about a rude awakening.

You glanced out the window that your head just bounced off to look where you were. The plane must have been over the ocean considering all you saw was darkness.

The seatbelt sign lit up and you hastily fastened it. That’s when the small rocks and bumps turned into something far worse. You griped the armrests as the airplane began to violently shake. Other passengers began to yell out, but you found yourself stunned in silence. The cabin’s lights flickered above your head, and the oxygen masks erupted from their storage containers. You reached out to grab one but as your fingers brushed the life saving plastic the plane lurched to the left causing you to re-grip your arm rest in fear. You glanced up for one more attempt at the mask, but you never got the chance. The plane stopped shaking for a brief moment and instead began to slowly tip forward. Its speed increased until you and every other passenger was pushed up against their seat as the plane took a nose dive downward to its watery grave. The lights went out, but it didn’t matter because you had shut your eyes tightly closed around the same time. All you could hear were the screams of terror of the others around you.

You thought. There was no flashback of your life, no regretting past mistakes. Your entire mind was focused on what was about to become of you and what pain may come with it. Consciousness began to fade away and you believed it was nothing short of a miracle. There was no more screaming here, no more terror. There was just silence and darkness.

The feeling of earth was beneath your fingertips, and the faint warm wind kissed your face. You could only hear one sound and that was the rhythmic beating of your heart. Your head pounded along with it against the sun warmed stone under your head. Listening closer you could hear little sounds like a set of footsteps, and if you concentrated on the vibration of the ground that you were laying on you could match it to a vehicle of some sort. Thoughts began to flood into your mind and you quickly connected the dots. You were on a crashing plane that was beginning its descent into the cold deep ocean. Your eyes snapped open, but just as quickly you closed them again hoping to block out the blinding sunlight.

You thought. It was one of the many questions you had.

You got to your feet unsteadily and unconsciously brushed the dirt away from your clothes.  Glancing around at your surroundings your only reaction at first was a simple widening of your eyes. The shock and confusion came next. You quickly whirled around to look everywhere only to come to the same conclusion you first came up with. Where ever you were it looked nearly identical to the Hollow Bastion. As in the one from Kingdom Hearts. You took a step forward careful not to trip over a metal rail on the cobblestone road. There were some small looking buildings lined up against the road. They looked like a different variety of shops, but there was no one in sight.

“I must be dreaming…” You murmured to yourself.

Maybe this was a dream. Was it possible that you were never crashing in the first place? Maybe in a few minutes you’d be awakened by a stewardess telling you the flight was over. You lifted your arms and pinched it as hard as you can. A sharp pain erupted from your now red arm. It may not be a plausible test, but it was the only one you could think of at the time. You willed yourself to wake up but nothing happened. You sighed in frustration. It was difficult deciding whether you should be in awe at the place you were at or screaming in terror at the fact this may be Hollow Bastion from Kingdom Hearts.

The sound echoed through your head. You stopped and focused at the noise.

Spinning around you saw what the noise was coming from. A royal purple and white trolley was speeding down the metal track directly towards you. Being squished by a trolley was on your list of things you never want to happen right next to dying in a plane crash.
