Chapter 19: Depressed Crowned Prince Nonsense

I let out a sigh as the clicking of Vittoria's heels faded from both our hearing followed by the banging of what I guessed to be my bedroom door. It was not like I expected any different reaction from her but I would not deny that it had not hurt. 

Plus the fact she had reacted like that in front of Alex embarrassed me greatly. By the looks of it Vittoria was serious about marrying anyone else but me. There was a time where all she wanted was me. 

"I told you this wouldn't work," I clenched my jaw as I turned to look at Alex who still sat looking flabbergasted yet not extremely surprised. 

"Campbell can you just shut up for once and try not to sound like a smart ass?" he sighed as the tips of his fingers massaged his temples. 

"She hates me."

"And she has every right to," he frowned, "Especially after what you did to her."
