/ General / Substitute Marriage: Reborn As The Top Big-Shot
Synopsis
[Number one romance novel in the universe—face slapping, scum-torturing, power couple!]
Isabella Thompson, who was abandoned in a village was suddenly brought home by her rich parents.
Her father: You are different from your sister. She has a bright future ahead and is destined to be a phoenix who would soar the skies! There's no way she would marry a cripple! You are getting off easy here!
Her mother: The Yu family is rich and powerful. Standing in for your sister in marriage is your food fortune! Know what's good for you!
Theodore Yu used to be a famous prodigy, but lost his glow after a car accident and didn't even make it to high school. With one being a poor village bumpkin and the other a well-known piece of trash, they were a match for each other.
But while everyone was waiting for Miss Thompson to make a fool of herself, she and that piece of trash appeared at a banquet where big shots gathered.
Isabella Thompson: I came to work as a waitress.
Theodore Yu: What a coincidence, I'm here to work part-time as well.
Hence, everyone watched as they carried trays around for the whole night.
***
On the day of their marriage, every important figure in the capital attended.
Big Shot One: I'll help make arrangements for Mr. Yu's grand wedding!
Big Shot Two: Welcome back to the capital, Miss Thompson!
Big Shot Three:...
Seeing those big shots who persistently made headlines, Grace Thompson was filled with regretful tears.

Write a reviewIt's a lovely book. I love how Elizabeth's pride gets shattered continuously. Not to mention the mysteries shrouding the ML and FL. And I am looking forward to the chapter where Trevor finds out the hacker he wants is actually Viola. It's a GREAT story. P.S There are some character switching.
Nice story with some confusion over pronounce such as he/she due to translation, and Olga for Viola. Why Emma = Elizabeth when that is not the shorten version for the formal name? I can see some nice face-slapping coming up for the narcissistic foster family. Unfortunate that the ml lead smokes and drinks, which habit I detest.
the same plot as always. And without an editor, which makes reading difficult. Western names don't suit this type of story😤
Not great, characters are one-dimensional and the plot is too convoluted and unconvincing, but an okay time waster. Too bad the translation is so flawed and the character names keep changing and being misapplied.
The story is good, but way too slow-paced for me. We learn about her real family around the 80th chapter but they doesn't realize until chapters 280 . Also, there is A LOT of name and gender faults, it probably happened in the translation process, sometimes i had to read the sentences 2 times to understand who is the "real" person talking. The main character is well-developped, but some of the casual villains are too similar to each other, both in attitude and tactics (ex: Sylvia and Emma) and it makes them seem under-developped compared to the MC. The world background is quite complete and the story is overall well written, if we look over the translation errors we can see the author have talent in story writing.
Reveal SpoilerThis is a lot of lovely book. It helps me enjoy my day to day activities. And I love this kind of story. Although the translation is not that good but it is understandable.
Bon roman et merci à l’auteur : Keep the good job [img=recommend]
Actually it was good stories and I enjoyed it very well Real Novel…FL name is Song Hua and ML Yu Tingzhi (the trash) who actually the big shot
Reveal SpoilerI haven't finished butI love to read it upto the end free because I don't have coins and don't know where it comes from. On the whole, up to what I have read the author has developed a strength in the characters which is to be recognised and acknowledged
in short, a good novel need not to reach 800 chapters at most.. 1,000 chapters are time and money consuming already, sorry.
Nice pace. Like how the story progresses and the constant face slapping. The annoying thing is the naming. Characters get referred to by multiple names or the wrong names. Luckily because I’m a speed reader and have a vivid imagination that I can follow it.
it is okay to want to be different as an author. but what is not okay is the fact that you are not consistent with your difference. you want English names but you can't keep up with whose name is whose or which gender belongs to which person. A mix up of both English and Chinese names. you could've just chosen Chinese names and spared everyone disappointments.
seems to be a good novel to read but please consider if wanna change the name with western names make sure all the names are right, so confusing 1 person can have 2 different names
This has the makings of a good story, but the person translating isn't doing well. They can't get the names right and the pronouns..
The book isnt that great .. .. The Author doesnt have a good plot update . .. i feel like the story is just dragging .. .. there is nothing worthwhile to read. .. .the characters are very . .. um annoying at some point
Its a good novel to read, the girl overcome the word country pumpkin each and every episode, silently revealing and make them dumb
Writer can't keep track of character names and keeps randomly changing them. Cliche, cardboard characters and a plot that makes no sense.
