Chapter 27: Mysterious Note and an Invitation

It had been two days since Juli and Ms. Kim met at the cafe. On the morning of the second day, Dr. Juli entered her office room. She put her handbag down on her table and sat on the chair. She was having a heated debate with someone.

"Look, at my age, do I have to discuss everything with you?"

"I can do whatever I wish with my life. Why don't you accept that first?"

"..."

"Mom! I have already applied for adoption. She is just a little kid. You haven't even seen her, yet you have decided she will not be suitable for your family."

"..."

"Mom...mom...listen...MOM...will you listen to me? At least meet the girl in person. I'm moving out of your house soon. So, she will not be your burden. Just have a look at her!"

"What do you mean you have set a date with someone? Who said I would go? What do you mean by marrying someone again? How could you say that, Mom?"
