Chapter 38: Meet the ex

Juliette attended the gala hosted by the Romano family with the boys. And Juliette felt like Luca didn't wanna be inside that luxurious mansion, packed with wealthy people whom Juliette didn't even know.

Her flashy strapless lacy dress was perfect for her, as well as the three men wearing tuxedos, looked perfect and dashing as usual. The four of them looked like the four leading characters of a romantic movie, going to the premiere night.

'But this is a family event,' Juliette thought. 'I wonder why Luca doesn't look happy about it.'

Many people met with Luca and greeted him as they entered the hall, and Juliette could tell Luca was faking smiles and niceties.

"Hi!" A very radiant young woman, graced with a glamorously provocative dress, went near Luca and hugged him without hesitation.

The woman was beautiful, but the stuck-up Juliette would never admit that she thought someone was prettier than her, so she rolled her eyes.
