Chapter 413: Gathered Subordinates

Dai Chen recalled the time when enemy forces were about to suppress them. It was an attack that caught them off guard.

They expected that the reinforcements from nearby camps would arrive but there were already a lot of wounded soldiers and a lot also lost their lives.

General Song Jia's close subordinates urged her to leave so he can avenge them. But he would have none of it. He didn't want to abandon his own troops.

And so, with all his strength, he used his remaining energy to create a barrier for them. It was an imperfect array so he absorbed most of the damage instead of letting his troops suffer.

They were not only up against people, there were Spirit Beasts as well.

Those in Song Jia's troops who had Spirit Beasts had already let their beasts fight, but they were soon overpowered and most of them were killed.

It took quite a long time for reinforcements to arrive and Song Jia was finally taken to safety.
