Chapter 62: Apathetic scientist (338 words)
Brown eyes listlessly stare at the abstract creature which twists and turns into itself in an endless cycle accompanied by a continues sound tearing flesh and breaking bones.
Nia Vesta is the name of the woman whose brown eyes silently observe the strange creature with complete apathy.
´What a waste of material and potential. ´ A light sigh escapes her thin lips as she brushes a lonely strand of blond hair behind her ear.
Her action causes the creature to tilt its constantly shifting head and eyes all over its body observe her every move.
Nia crosses her arms in front of her chest and finally breaks the silence which has permeated the area since her arrival.
"I wont bother to introduce myself, I also have not the slightest interest in who or what you are, so tell me what is going to happen now or just let me leave and don't bother me again." She says in one breath.
Nia doesn't like to communicate with others, be they humans, animals or abstract, eldritch monsters.
The thought of having to share part of her inner working with some other intelligent being disgusted her already since her early childhood causing her to not have many people around her.
A creepy voice full of twisting intent, promising madness and pain, invades Nia´s ears.
"You who has eyes full of knowledge, the mind of the dead and hands full of life, shall become my champion in the new age of mystery." Each word sounds as if they were spoken by a tortured man or woman.
A sleek, blond eyebrow rose as Nia tries to understand what the creature could mean.
´Eyes full of knowledge? Is her referring to my discerning eyes or at the amount of information I have seen? The mind of the dead, he could be playing at my lack of compassion for life. As for the part about, hands full of life, I suspect he means all the projects and experimental creations that I have created over the years.
