Chapter 30: chapter 29

Mandalore

A fleet of ships belonging to the Terrans were making it's way towards Mandalore and had just exited out of slipspace. Most of the ships were completely full of weapons, vehicles, and resources to help the mandalorians in their fight against the republic.

Not only this but they also had plans and blueprints that would interest them which were all in the hands of Michael. He was being sent on another diplomatic mission and this time he wasn't just going there to help them out. But too also gain any knowledge about both the republic and separatist along with any other potential allies.

Another thing that Michael was told before he left had him worried since the outcome could end very badly or very good for them.

He was ordered to bring along a sanghelil who had happened to be the Arbiter who was the leader of the sanghelios. After hearing that Mandalore was somewhat similar to the culture of the sanghelios it had interested him so much he wanted to see them in person.

"You really think it's a good idea to be wearing all that...armor?" Michael says who was wearing an expensive suit while the Arbiter looked like he was out for blood.

"I mean they've never seen your species before. They might see you as a threat without even thinking." He says before wishing he had never spoken in the first place knowing that his response wasn't going to help the situation.

The Arbiter looks at Michael giving him a long hard stare before crossing his arms and looking forward.

"If they are all warriors like you all say. The least of their worries should be about what I wear and more about what I can do." The Arbiter says like he was giving him a life lesson.

"If they feel threatened by just my appearance alone. They have no right to call themselves warriors." He says a little annoyed before walking off.

Once he leaves with Michael all alone. He starts to curse in his head before softly whispering to himself.

"Shit. Shit. Shit. Shit. You got to be kidding me. They should have told me the fucking Arbiter was coming along beforehand. I wasn't prepared for this." He softly shouts to himself frustrated.

The order to introduce the Arbiter was a last minute change and it had terrified him on how both parties would react towards the other. To him high command was really pushing their luck and he didn't want to be anywhere near the area when it ran out.

Moments later the ship comes to a complete stop and he knows they have arrived on the planet. Taking a deep breath Michael looks up fixing his suit and putting a small smile on his face hiding the worry in him. Once he finds the Arbiter, him along with a squad of marines were escorted though the now busy docks towards the leader of the mandalorians.

As they walk the eyes of everyone falls on the tall sanghelil that stuck out from the rest of them. The Arbiter seeing this didn't feel swayed by this in anyway since this wasn't the first time he had these looks.

The humans he had now called allies had once looked at him like he was a devil but the eyes of the mandalorians was more curious than hateful. The main reason for this was because they didn't know the things he could do which the Terrans had experience with which was the cause of their hate towards his people at first.

Of course most of them are not like that anymore but a few still hold a grudge against them for what they did and problems between the two still occur, but their alliance still hold strong.

"It seems your worried state earlier was for nothing." The Arbiter says looking at all of their curious gazes before they go back to work.

"But the leader will be the start and final assumption on my thoughts on them." He says as they near their destination.

Once they enter the Mand'alor was seen sitting in his throne waiting for them. Seeing them entered caused the Mand'alor to get up and start walking down the steps, but one glance at the sanghelil seemed to cause a pause in his steps before he quickly fixes his composure and started off again.

He had never seen a species of this kind before, but since he was with the terrans he had no doubt in his mind they were on friendly terms with them.

"I've dreamed of this meeting for years and now that's it's happening mandalore will prosper and because of that we will offer our full support towards the war with the republic." He says beginning their conversation.

"The same goes to you. As you already know I will be talking on behalf of the Terran republic and you may be wondering who this is standing right by me." He says gesturing towards the Arbiter.

"He is the leader of the sanghelios called the Arbiter and the both of us are currently in an alliance that has lasted for years. They have many more species than just his species, but this is about our new alliance together so I will spare you most of the details for now." Michael says.

"Yes. Of course. I already have all of the things you requested in exchange for your help." He says handing Michael a device full of knowledge about their galaxy dating back thousands of years.

"That is good to know. It will make things much easier now down the line." Michael says taking out a briefcase from who nowhere's and taking out files and holograms that they had planned for them.

"Everything you see here is what we had planned to help your people out. We have things from supplies, armor, weapons, ships, and even something that you will gladly like." He says handing them to the mandalorian.

(The ships the mandalorians will have later)

The mand'alor skimming through most of the files looks on in shock since he didn't expect them to give them all of this. He was just expecting a ship full of supplies which was already a lot. And now they were giving them an entire fleet later on.

"We already have a few prototypes of these ships being built and should arrive here within the next few months. But now it's time for the biggest one I'm sure you will like." He says handing him a hologram that showed Mandalore, but fully restored to it's true beauty all those years ago.

If the mandalorian wasn't wearing his helmet he was sure his mouth would be hanging open from his mouth. The Mand'alor looks up at Michael trying to think of a way to put his gratitude in words.

"You have no idea how much this means to me and my people. We thought the restoration of our planet was impossible." He says before the next thing he does shocks Michael beyond words.

Him along with everything other mandalorian in the room takes a kneel showing their full respect towards him and the Terrans.

"I, Vroj Juvhood the present mand'alor of Mandalore vows to show my greatest respect and loyalty to the Terran republic and will fight beside you along with all of Mandalore until my death." He says before slowly getting up.

Michael was lost and had no idea on how to react to this. He didn't expect them to react this way and was thinking they were going to say some promises or something which they did, but not to this extent.

Not only that but he had also said his name shocking him since many of the mandalorians follow a strict rule of honor for their clans against showing their face or real name to others.

"Umm yeah. There's no need for all of that. This was bound to happen." Michael says trying to put an end to this.

After a few more minutes of talking and diffusing the awkward situation for Michael it seems like they were about to leave before the Arbiter who was quiet the whole time speaks out for the first time since they entered the room.

"Before you all go your sperate ways. I want to test your people to see if you truly have the right to call yourselves a warrior race." The Arbiter begins.

"They say you are somewhat similar to my culture so I want to see what your people have up close and personal."

"Which is why I want a duel with either you or your best fighter to prove me wrong."

The mand'alor doesn't waste a second before agreeing to the duel.

"As you wish and I will be the one to fight you. I wasn't made the ruler of mandalore for nothing. Tomorrow at noon me and you will fight."

"Good. The only rules of engagement I will agree to is to survive. If you survive for 15 minutes of fighting with me. I will be satisfied." The Arbiter says.

"Then consider it done." The Mand'alor says before the two groups go their separate ways as a fight between the two will be know throughout mandalore in a few hours.

Michael only rubs his brow as he becomes frustrated. The Arbiter was quiet throughout the entire conversation until now and he thought he just wanted to observe them. Not declare a duel against the leader of mandalore.

He could only hope things didn't fall apart after this duel.

Geonosis

While plo koon was still investigating what happened to one of the republics dock yards a big fleet belonging to the republic was exiting hyperspace.

Thousands of clones along with multiple Jedi masters and knights were entering the system expecting a large separatist fleet. They had Intel that the separatist were rebuilding the factories there and that it was going to be bigger than ever.

To their complete surprise they arrived with a planet surrounded by debris. Most if them were separatist ships with a few being Terran fighters and an unknown purple ship that was destroyed beyond recognition.

The biggest surprise for them though was the planet itself. It was covered in huge red scotch marks that was noticable even from space. The entire planet wasn't like this, but it was enough to make the planet look like it was dead.

"Who did this?" A random Jedi commented.

"The terrans. Who else would hold such a grudge as to do something like this. Some of their fighters are seen throughout the debris field." Anakin speaks out.

"That doesn't explain some of those other ships though master. We didn't see anything that appeared looking like that when we fought them." Ashoka says.

"Not just that but the planet itself has to have been done by someone else. As far as I know the Terrans never had a weapon that could do something to create this." Obi-wan puts in gesturing to the planet as he thinks.

As they continue to debate before agreeing to land on the planet Waneta was the quietest of them all. She knew actually who did this and if they were in the war. She knew none of them would stand a chance against them.

Once a few of them make it on the ground it didn't look any better. Ships and droids were laid all across the land and it looked like someone had exploded a huge bomb because every building and structure was smashed to peices.

"This is definitely not the work of just the Terrans. There is no way they have this type of fire power." A Jedi says.

"Umm master? You might want to see this." Ashoka says sounding a little surprised as she looks under a pile of droids.

Anakin making his way over to her uses the force to lift all the droids up before throwing them to the side.

What they see shocks them. What was left of a grunt was seen on the ground with parts of his armor now gone.

"They really did have help. They have allies that we don't even know about." Anakin says to himself.

Waneta seeing this holds both of lightsabers in her hands before holding them tightly. She was going to have to betray the republic faster than she thought. With them in the war she didn't want to be anywhere near the opposing side of the sanghelios.

She knew what they could do. Everyone in the Terran republic knew what they could do and she wanted no part in fighting them. You could have all the troops you want. Quality will always overcome quantity if you have the resources to keep their machines and technology running and they did.

The republic was fucked. The terrans were already a fight for them and the sanghelios was going to be worse. Much worse.
