Chapter 27: The wind is blowing

A man remains a man at his core. Laladoya harbored the belief that Mr. Limon would scarcely be able to resist the allure that Teresa presented.

With a cursory glance, Limon's gaze was immediately drawn to the three figures who entered through the doorway of the main house, their presence commanding his attention.

Two women and a man, all of whom bore the air of professionals.

"Could it be her?"

Among the two girls, one sported long, lustrous silver-white hair, with fluffy, pointed ears, and was attired in a flowing white robe and skirt.

Wasn't she the very same girl Limon had encountered in the library? Their brief exchange had been enough to etch her image in his mind, and he had not forgotten her.

As he sipped his grape juice, Limon observed the trio at the counter with a discerning eye.
