The next day Riané was training her abilities in the force. She had mastered those which had been coupled under the core's category of sense. She could see mere seconds into the future on reflex, she could take in the emotions of those around her through empathy, she could feel the presence of other people and life forces around her. She could even brush off some active thoughts from someone close enough to her.
Now it was the time to meditate on the abilities pertaining to control and alter. Various materials were scattered about the ready room of the Scimitar as she was situated in the center of it. Her legs crossed.
She was dressed in the alabaster grey mandalorian styled carapace and the other articles Valad had given her. The weight of the armor was an obvious distraction to pull her away from her equilibrium, a test to her constitution. The slim fitted bodysuit riding up slightly as she kept a straight posture. Her hands rested upon her knees.
She pictured the items which surrounded her, she felt out for their geometric shapes. Their textures rang in her mind, their colors and taste. Their densities were varied, but she could feel it it all.
She tried to pick them all up at once, but she was barely able to even lift one of a few swamp rocks a few nanometers off the ground.
Letting out a huff of annoyance, her eyes opened partially and she stared at the door in front of her which belonged to the airlock. How was she suppose to do this?
Valad had walked off after giving her instruction, he wasn't there to give her a prep talk nor any advice. Was this all his plan? He wanted her to find her own way to get through to this?
'You have to will the force, use your imagination and their forethoughts. Don't try to bend it to your will, suggest your will and execute it.' She thought, repeating his words in the back of her mind which he had given her at the beginning of the day.
Her eyes eagerly closed once again as she isolated her thoughts, meditating on the problem before her. She needed to find a solution. If only Valad had shown her how to do it with his own powers, she could imitate him and learn faster. She could only think this was all on purpose.
Riané cleared her mind and continued to think, the rain outside of the hangar kept her mind at ease. She would only focus on one thing now instead of the cluttered mess surrounding her. The Echani Martial Arts manual opened up, but it didn't levitate before her.
She didn't open her eyes, she just kept going at it. The crease between her brows increasing as she stressed.
She had been told not to rush, but she could only feel like something was coming their way soon. Someone, something, which felt dark and merciless. Her road though, she knew it didn't end here. She didn't foresee her death in her dreams, nor her masters.
However she did foresee death in the coming days which were to come. She was sure her master saw it as well. She could only contemplate however since he just dismissed it as nothing new, which tipped her off he knew for a much longer time than she.
What was he keeping from her? Wasn't she his apprentice?
She could only feel as if he was testing her limitations, her patience and her own intellect. He wanted to see how far she could go without relying too much on him.
"What is he up too...?" Her thoughts were trailing off the mark once again as she opened her eyes and slowly stood up, still not entirely used to the carapace top heaviness. She would reach out her hand and close her eyes once she was situated, her arm reaching out towards the book.
Within moments the book slowly raised a few centimeters off the ground, but it immediately dropped to the ground once she opened to see her progress. "..." Sucking in her upper and lower lips, she breathed frustratedly out of her nose.
"Just a little more.." She muttered as she went back to attempting once more, meditating while standing. She let her body relax and sway with her weight, while keeping her self evenly distributed as to not fall over.
...
Valad was in the Queen's Chambers, seated in front of what looked like small blue heavy duty looking lunch box. It had a picture of a lightsaber on the front of it and on the front of it was the words in galactic basic "Advanced Lightsaber Kit v2."
Reaching forward, the lid of the container would open to reveal various components to the lightsaber, including a Permafrost focusing crystal. Taking out his Barab Ingot, he placed it on the ground next to the permafrost crystal and stared at the two of them.
Both of these crystals were greatly attuned to the force. One of them he knew would have a translucent flame-like blade while the other was a icy blue which gave frost damage to an enemy. The permafrost crystal held the secrets to Cryokinesis, while the other was Pyrokinesis in its representation.
"Dual phase would allow me to combine these crystals... right?" Opening the shop he began to scroll through the components section for lightsaber parts. A dual phase lightsaber kit was available, so he bought that for six thousand credits and laid out the parts with the other saber kit. In this case the dual phase lightsaber kit came with a handful of various colored force attuned crystals, but none of them had special effects such as the Barab ingot or the Permafrost Crystal.
"Hmm..." Closing his eyes, he would lean his head back as he would begin sifting through the parts of the saber. He had enough parts to make three sabers thanks to the excess amount of parts.
He decided to go with a flat rounded off hilt, one which was akin to that of a Samurai Sword. He purchased a modified confinement field for his weapons so that not only would the hilt look like a piece of Japanese art, but the blade as well. Giving the blade the illusion of physical mass.
He began to assemble the weapon, attuning each and every piece so that the weapon only responded to him. With his general knowledge of Force Essence Transfer from Darth Sidious's book of the Sith and other sources, he came up with an alternate form of perceiving his consciousness.
Using Sith Alchemy, he would imprint his own personality upon the weapon, his knowledge and memories. If someone other than him were to try and use this saber, the would find themselves being slowly transformed into himself.
Should he ever perish, he had a chance to return after death. Though it wasn't exactly transferring his consciousness, it was more like making copies of himself. His apprentice would very well be the first if he should die and she collected his weapon.
It could also be his own killer that would fall for this, if they couldn't sense or understand the changes he made to it, they'd fall right into his plans. However it seemed to doubt that if he were to make a copy, that they'd have the same system he did, if one at all.
So in the end he also added the transferring of essence into the arsenal of the weapon, so that it would prick whoever tried to pick it up with his essence. This wouldn't immediately change the victim, but if he were to die, he'd be able to transfer into them and subdue their consciousness.
This whole process took hours for him to complete, the use of Sith Alchemy would definitely raise some alarms if there had been any Jedi on the planet. Which was good, since there was no Jedi on the planet in which he was aware of.
