Chapter 6: (Chapter six.)
Stop, a voice commanded. Who are you? What are you doing here?
It took a few seconds before Sara recognized the voice, but when she did, she had to curse her luck. Of all the people in the galaxy, it had to be him. There was only one choice, and though she would never admit it, she really didn't want to hurt him. But if he knew why she was here he probably wouldn't hesitate to killer her, either.
Instinct moved her hand, using the Force to throw him back against a wall. Sara sprinted towards the stairs as soon as his body hit the floor, somehow still filling guilty. Which was stupid, really- the bad blood between them was mutual.
Hurling down the stairs as quickly as she could, she paused at the first landing to look over her shoulder. A terrible error. Dex was standing at the top of the stairs, blaster raised, and as soon as his eyes locked onto her face, she knew the jig was up. Of course, he recognized her- he was seeing a ghost.
