Chapter 12: Mk2 droids
While making my rounds around the ship Mason walks up to me and says " Sir the upgrades you wanted for the droids are done if you'd like to come by the hangar to see sir"
Not having anything better to do I say " Sure private let's go see"
Right as we get in the hangar I see the droids practicing their aim at the firing range with their Uzi smgs and showing enormous improvement in their accuracy to the level of army regulars and as we approach Alpha the squad leader of the droids turns to me and says while saluting "Good morning Pathfinder Nygaard how can we help you today"
"Well Alpha do you think you and your squad are ready to see some action"
"Roger Roger Sir just tell us what to do"
"It's simple Alpha all you have to do is go with the shuttle on the next supply run and report anything you see understand"
"Roger Roger"
After the finishing up the droids stow themselves in their charger racks on the shuttle and head planet side
"So Mason do you think the droids are up to the task we gave them"
"If they were in their original quality level hell no but now I'd say they'll do just fine especially because the mission is a simple security job which is what they are built for"
"What did you do to them anyway they seemed vaguely different to me"
"Glad you asked Sir I gave them 5 fingered hands for better motor control along with more flexible joints and a thicker neck and then I rewired their eyes with parts from some old security cameras so they can see in thermal and have better motion tracking capabilities so what do you think Sir"
"If they don't mess this up then I'll love these and have you make more but we'll see what we'll see won't we"
After finishing up with Mason I head towards the lab to see what doc is up to
