I burst through the front door, my head still spinning from the afternoon's events. The house was eerily quiet - no sign of Donna. For a split second, a flicker of something almost like fear crept into my chest. But before I could dwell on it, I heard the familiar rumble of her car pulling into the driveway.

Donna waltzed in a minute later, a knowing smirk playing on her lips. "Don't be mad, baby... but did you really think I was going to let you go anyplace with a senior without keeping an eye on you?"
