Chapter 41: The Third Trial (Part 3)

Kai closed the distance, his palm gripping around the dagger as he slashed at the young man only for the Magus to weave past his strike effortlessly, the wind generated from the strike hitting against his face.

The Young Magus didn't waste any time, lightning sizzled around his dagger as he stabbed forward several times, blitzing attacks forward with the intent of hitting the Shadow Magus but with each strike he threw forward, the Shadow Magus weaved it with unnerving nimbleness.

The Shadows burst to life around him, spreading outward in the form of spikes with the intention of impaling Kai but the young Magus moved away, landing on the ground and avoiding the spikes.

"Why are you doing this?!" Kai asked, his voice loud as he searched for an answer. The young man's lips twisted as a smile spread across them, spreading from ear to ear and mirroring the expression of a crazy man.
