Chapter 27: :Facing Mongrel

Unlike the times when Jack would be around the media, this wasn't one of them. He was alone in the park where Cyrus had told him to be, sitting on the wooden bench.

"Did he forget?" thought Jack while glancing at his wristwatch. "Or did Truth get to him already?... Damn, Jack, don't think like that."

"Uh?"

Jack abruptly glanced to his right, seeing a man adorned in black trousers and a black hooded sweater, obviously concealing his face.

Cyrus stopped beside Jack and unhooded himself. He sighed and sat on the bench, then bam! Slapped Jack's head to the ground, causing Jack to fall on his face. "Who the hell is Truth?"

The latter stood up, not that puzzled. "He called you?" Jack asked, getting a raised eyebrow from Cyrus. "Well, he's a guy I hired with his sister, and stuff happened-"

"Well, that's none of my business," Cyrus cut Jack short. "Just warn him not to mess with me," he smirked.
