[Third Person's PoV]
Peter and Gwen arrived at their hideout, each carrying bags of weapons on their shoulders. As they entered, they dropped the bags to the floor and slumped into the nearest seats, exhausted. Pulling down their masks, they both had visible bags under their eyes.
"Aria, what time is it?" Peter asked wearily, too tired to check his phone.
"It is currently 10 A.M.," Aria responded. "Due to what you were doing and how busy you were, I failed to relay a message you received 3 hours ago from Felicia Hardy's mother."
Peter sighed. "Be a dear and read it out loud."
"I am texting you to inform you that Felicia is now out of the hospital and is currently resting at home. If you want to visit her and make sure she's alright, you can do that by stopping by. I'm sure you already have our address."
Before Peter could respond, his phone began to ring, and the large monitor displayed MJ's caller ID.
"Answer," Peter replied tiredly.
"Hey Tiger..."
"Hey Red," Peter responded.
"Where are you right now? I came to get you so we can go visit Felicia, but you didn't answer your window, and when I tried the front door, Aunt May said you didn't arrive home last night. Are you with Gwen?"
"Kinda? Just wait a little bit, Red; we'll come and pick up..."
"Alright...?" MJ sounded a bit confused before hanging up.
Gwen covered her mouth as she yawned. "Shower together?" she asked, too tired to formulate a proper question.
Peter lifted a thumbs up, grunting as he stood. "This is going to take me to an early grave," he complained.
Gwen nodded in agreement, letting out another yawn as she stood up.
After they showered, they were too tired to think or do anything sexual, except for a few pecks here and there.
Once dressed, Peter grabbed his bag, and they got in the car to meet MJ. When they arrived, MJ was leisurely waiting for them, and as she got in, she looked at Peter and Gwen in surprise. "Wow, you guys look exhausted. What happened?"
Even though they had both showered, the signs of tiredness never left their bodies. "Oh, you know... hunting someone down and ending their careers," Peter said, technically not lying.
MJ misunderstood Peter's statement, thinking, 'Did they spend all night researching the guy who went after Felicia? Is that why they're so tired?'
Although she wasn't entirely wrong, that wasn't exactly what Peter meant.
A few minutes later…
They appeared in front of Felicia's door as they knocked.
Felicia answered, she wore silk silver-white shorts with cut sides and a black tank top while her hair was tied in a ponytail.
She looked towards Peter and Gwen, "You guys look like shit… did you guys spend the entire night fucking or something and didn't get enough sleep?"
"Thanks Felicia, how nice of you" Gwen said with an eye-roll.
Felicia then stuck her leg to the side stopping a black cat with bright green eyes from escaping.
She went and picked it up before introducing him to everyone. "Everyone, meet Mr. Whisker. Mr. Whiskers, meet everyone. Now come on in," she said, stepping to the side.
She then led everyone to her room. Her room was the typical definition of a teenage girl's room, with posters and a bed adorned with a few stuffed cat animals.
'Is that a Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider poster? Since when did they start making those… Since when did we allow people to make those? And I know we've been Spider-Man for about three or so months, but isn't our influence a bit much… Am I underestimating the influence I had on people these months?' Peter thought, confused, with Gwen having a similar thought process.
"Wow, you really have a thing for cats…" MJ said as she looked around.
"Don't judge me," she casually said while shrugging her shoulders. "Sit anywhere you like."
Felicia went and laid on her bed, to which MJ and Gwen joined her, while Peter went and sat on the floor, leaning back against the bed.
"So… how's life?" Felicia asked as she grabbed one of her stuffed animals, which caused the others to chuckle, naturally starting a conversation.
As Gwen and MJ checked up on Felicia, Peter reached into his bag and pulled out his computer.
While typing, Felicia rolled her eyes, "I don't need your pity—wait… Parker… did you seriously just come to my home… my room… and just start doing homework?"
Felicia sat up, put a hand on her chin, and pondered aloud, "I don't know if I should be offended or impressed."
Peter grew a bit embarrassed as he rubbed the back of his head, "Sorry, Cat… but if it makes you feel any better, I'm not doing homework; I'm writing down plans and formulas for some things I'm planning to invent."
"I'm sorry? Did you just call me Cat? And what could you possibly be making?" Felicia asked, as she had heard Peter was a genius but only had a rough idea how much of a genius he was and wanted to learn more.
"Yeah? I mean, you clearly love cats and have the green eyes of one, so 'cat.' And I'm just designing and figuring out how it operates," Peter said as he finished typing something.
As he was done, he put the laptop on the bed and hit the spacebar.
On the screen, a rough blueprint appeared—a blueprint of a watch. Peter then started to explain, "Basically, just by tapping on the watch, it could shoot a laser that could potentially knock someone out cold."
Felicia's lips slightly curled up when she heard that. "Aw shucks, you care that much about me, you went and created a weapon just for me. I don't know if I should feel touched or scared?"
"What do you mean by 'potentially'?" MJ asked curiously as she looked over what Peter wrote.
Peter just pointed at the Spider-Man and Ghost-Spider posters. "I highly doubt these would work on a guy like Spider-Man. This is for your average Joe of a guy."
They nodded in understanding as Peter took back the laptop and continued working.
"So this is what they meant when they mentioned you were smart, Parker… Now I'm curious, who's smarter, you or the famous Tony Stark?" Felicia teased.
Peter stopped what he was doing and slowly turned to look at her, offended. "Did you seriously just doubt my intelligence and ask me if another man is smarter than me?"
Felicia then started moving like a scale. "I mean, on one hand, one has a multi-billion-dollar company, and the other one doesn't…"
Peter put a hand towards her, motioning her to stop. "You did not just go there…"
"I think she just did…" MJ teased, fanning the flames.
"Oh no," Gwen said with a sigh before quickly reaching over and putting a hand over his mouth.
Lots and lots of mumbling went on behind Gwen's hand. "We're going to be here a while."
"What just happened?" Felicia asked.
"Peter really hates it when you compare his intelligence to somebody else's and would go on close to an hour tangent on why you're wrong… Harry had the unfortunate incident of being at the brunt of it when we first met."
As Peter went on, Felicia looked towards her with worry. "Is there any way to turn him off?"
Gwen nodded. "You're supposed to admit you're wrong and that no one is smarter than he is."
"Seriously?"
"Unfortunately so…" Both Gwen and MJ said at once.
"Fine… No one is smarter than Peter Parker. I was wrong in my earlier question of even thinking of comparing the two of you," Felicia said in a flat tone.
Seeing Peter nodding, Gwen removed her hand. "I'm glad my reasons were enough to convince you. Next time, don't ask such foolish questions."
Felicia's lips twitched, unsure how to react to Peter's shameless statement.
