Chapter 140: This is it

True to what Irene told Amiel, she finds herself having a hard time to feel around blindly the way to the kitchen. She had to take cautious steps while going down the stairs or else she would end up having a broke leg for her wedding tomorrow.

When Irene finally reached the light switch on the wall, she turned on the lights in the kitchen. Irene almost died out of shock when she saw her Auntie Rona sitting by herself in the living room.

Noticing Irene's surprised gasp, Auntie Rona turns to Irene and smiles at her. Irene noticed that Auntie Rona had an opened wine and glass in front of her which made her think that the two of them had the same purpose of sneaking out of their bedrooms at this time of the night.

Irene gets a wine glass for herself and sits down beside her Auntie Rona on the living room couch. Auntie Rona pours Irene a considerable amount of wine which she thinks would be enough for her niece to finally get a good night sleep.
