 Five years later, I had completely changed. Grown taller and was now eighteen. 

 "Happy birthday Gil!" Evan said with teary eyes as he gave me a box. 

 "It's the first day of the new year, a prince like you should shed no tear," I said to him as I received the box and smiled. My red eyes glimmered with beauty and were complemented neatly by my tangled golden hair which I had combed back, leaving a few strands in front but it can't just be delivered from that tangled state no matter how much I treat it. 

 "How can I not, when you are going to such a dangerous place?" 

 "Haha, should I be sad? I guess it's my fault for being the strongest knight and volunteering to go."
