Duke Maxnor rested his head behind him with his eyes closed as the carriage rode away to his duchy.

 "Your grace..." Reilfreid was hesitant to speak.

 "You may," the duke permitted him, still in his vulnerable position with his eyes closed. 

 "The young boy's uncle could not be found, the people in the town said he travelled to Nibodour to learn the true art of blacksmithing."

 "How troublesome..." the duke replied.

 "I apologise for the trouble I have caused." Reilfreid bowed his head, seated opposite the duke.

 "Don't worry, he is just a kid who turned out to be a genius that surpassed my expectations, to wield such amount of power, perhaps it was his wish that I adopt him, now that I think about it... everything that happened from the moment he entered around all seemed like a coincidence... but he was in the centre of it. Was I being used?"
