Chapter 116: A Battle Of Delay

Without rest, the Resin army marched to the Maxnor city and in a day's journey they were already situated at the end of the forest and a few meters away from the city, unlike most cities, Maxnor duchy does not have a city gate, instead is surrounded by a large river and so there was a bridge mechanism to trap in invaders into the water, the duke's castle was situated at the opposite end of the city from where they stood but as it should be the entire streets of the city was gleaming with knights.

 And their presence had been noticed seeing as the large bell rang the few moments after they arrived. But they had nothing to fear, since the duke was not around there was no major problem to deal with.

 "Even if he is around, we have Lord Nosaen and the fire shadow." General Drewett said.

 "Ahh, the fire shadow, I've forgotten he's here... with him around, I feel like we can play around anyhow we want." General Letholdus said smiling.
