Chapter 142: HSR arc

I butchered every piece of the story, changed all I felt like changing (even if I still don't know what the true lore is about), inaccurate ages of the characters, slight variations of the characters (they are not mine, it's impossible for me to be 100% accurate) and things I can't remember right now.
The novel will age horribly, I wrote many things that haven't been revealed yet (I stopped playing in 2.1, Penacony), so if you read this, I don't know, in March of 2025, you might find pure bullshit here.

Now that's done, I will explain what people with the patience of an amoeba can skip.
First, this next arc is different. What you liked about the first arc might be absent, and vice-versa. More than a continuation, I think you should consider it a whole new novel. The Genshin Arc was very peculiar, if you want to call it that, I think it's a love or hate kind of thing, and I'm aware that making changes will alienate the people who might have loved it, but I wrote what I wanted.
Second, some of you might be excited about Akivili. Wow! An Aeon! Sugoi! Giga Chad obliterating stars all arou- No.
His role will just be activating a certain something, that is all 'Akivili' will do, the rest is just Keith (explanations later), and his own abilities. Reason, if the MC awakened as an Aeon, there is no feasible way to make the travel with the Astral Express have meaning. Lore reason, Akivili got eroded by the being.
And, like the last arc, I refuse to make everything turn around the MC, making everyone else turn into mindless sheep, take this in mind.
Next, Keith. Kenshin lost all his memories, including how to use his soul and abilities. Some of it will remain, but only feel some vague emotions. No Reality Marble in the whole HSR Arc. He will acquire new things, but not this one, so if you don't like 'nerfs', well, can't do much. Who knows, he might gradually remember things with a little help, including his name and everything else.
Next. You might already know if you arrived here, but I am unable to write to the point. Some of you, the oldest readers, might remember that chapter I took down in 2 days about the HSR arc. 'A brief arc, maybe 20 chapters, easy come easy go'. Well.... You see.... 70 and counting.
'I woke up, my eyes opening with tiredness born out of a deep pain coursing through my body, mind and soul. I saw a pair of golden eyes, belonging to a grey-haired girl, looking at me with concern and worry. I decided to follow her and bla bla bla'.
I don't have any problem with HSR fics that start in Herta space station, but I refuse to start that way. I can't write characters I haven't developed from 0 (as an MC),so I did what I wanted.
This brings me to the saddest point. No Genshin (for now, I won't end the novel after this arc).
I'm too busy with my studies, and it's impossible for me to write that much. This next 'period of publishing' will end the moment the MC returns to Teyvat. For those wanting to read Genshin, you will only find what we will see through Elea's eyes.
I could have waited until March to publish again (supposing I finish until Natlan by then), but considering that the HSR arc could be considered a 'small novel' on its own, I thought it could be good to give it now. A lot of people commented that they wanted to read the HSR arc, and might not be interested in Genshin part 2 (the continuation in Teyvat next to this arc) so making them wait for months for me to finish what they don't care about was a bit... You know.
Next. The update schedule will NOT be a chapter per day. I'm too busy, and can't check a chapter daily. What you read in 5 minutes, I spent 3 hours writing and checking mistakes, it's unreasonable to demand a chapter daily, even more when they are about twice as long as the normal chapters in this site are (they are normally 1,5 k-1,3k from what I know). 1 every 2 or 3 days, when I can make time to review them.
Next. You can read without knowing shit. Even better if you don't know anything, because if you do, you will find strange things. The lore in HSR is COMPLEX, HIDDEN AND CONFUSING, at least for my monkey brain, so I tried to adjust as much as I could, but you get it.
Next. Romance. 2. But it's 1+0.5+0.5, I'm still thinking about what to do with the last 2. No lemons. My lemons are bad, no one likes them, and I don't enjoy writing them. So they are out unless I change my mind.
Next. The Trailblaze. In canon gives you the ability to tolerate extreme conditions (nothing crazy) maybe because Akivili disappeared, I have no clue. Here, I gave it a new ability.
It connects to with the desired outcome, and you have to walk through it. For example; you want to beat a minion from the Destruction. The Trailblaze will create a road to victory, which in this case would pass by eliminating all the Destruction inside it.
If you are too weak, you can't walk this path, because you get tired, just because you have a road doesn't mean you can destroy the universe.
BUT, if you are weak, you might want to cut the mob's arm, you might be able to do that. In the end, a person from another path might destroy the mob with an energy blast, and one from the Trailblaze can use this complex method. It's just different ways to reach the same outcome.
Basically, you are strong, you win. The Trailblaze just connects you with victory, it's just the guide that shows you the easiest way to reach it.
I know it sounds complex and twisted, but normally the Trailblaze just fights against the energies from other paths, and in one occasion, screams at someone.
IMPORTANT; The Being is not the All-Destroying thing it was in Teyvat, the HSR universe is far wider and very, VERY strong compared to Teyvat. I don't dare to put numbers, but destroying a whole planet like Teyvat is an everyday occurence in HSR. The Being might, or might not be, as strong as an Aeon, but the way I envisioned it, they are differnent kind of beings. If you want to compare them, it should be like comparing oil viscousness with happiness, they are simply different.
BUT, the Being is a foreign entity to HSR, that I think of as a complex machine where the cogs are the Aeons. And like all foreign things in a complex machine, it can make some cogs malfunction, merely due to being different. That can cause small... imperfections, and 'bugs' (the glitchy ones) to appear. This doesn't mean the Being is just stronger than the whole universe, just that its different.
Next, we are finishing, I promise. I have no problem admitting when there is a plot hole, I'm writing this for fun and well, it is what it is, I don't have enough brain power left from my life, so I miss a lot of things, like the book Kenshin wrote in Mondstadt, and the ones that will appear in this new arc.
Feel free to point them out, no one will blame you for it, and I will correct them if they are fixable, but remember that making a fool-proof fanfiction written as a hobby, across a few months sporadically, and about a universe as complex as HSR is impossible for me. Rejoice! Ye who seek, as this has more holes than an italian tank in WW2.

I won't publish today, nor tomorrow. Maybe in a week or so, I want to let this marinate in your minds instead of everyone skipping it and needing to hear complaints and cries about what I wrote here.
