He was only acquainted with the surface-level details and lacked a deeper understanding of the complexities of this seemingly 'impossible' Mission of History Remembrance.

Noticing Philip's waning interest, Doug paused. He, too, was in the dark about the specifics of what had transpired with Conrad and the nature of the reward he had received. 

The reality was that Conrad hadn't divulged the details to Doug. After all, Doug wasn't Philip, and Conrad's trust appeared to be exclusively reserved for Philip, creating a challenge for Doug to infiltrate his social circle.

His awareness was solely derived from Conrad's conspicuous behavior, a feat made easier for him to notice as a dream citizen intimately acquainted with Conrad through Philip.
