Chapter 134: Dishonesty

Philip's eyes gleamed as he peered down at the shard, capturing Conrad's reflection. "So tell me, why are you hiding from me?" 

This question had been troubling Philip since the opening event. Initially, he assumed that Conrad only needed some alone time to think and forge his new core memory. However, as time passed, Philip realized that Conrad had been intentionally avoiding him, as if he were burdened by guilt.

Philip scrutinized the shard closely, but since Conrad was in the mirror, he couldn't discern his expression well, leaving him in the dark about Conrad's thoughts and emotions.

"Well..." Conrad hesitantly began, then fell into a long pause. 

Just as Philip was about to grow impatient, Conrad finally continued, "It's just that I've noticed a significant increase in my spirituality pool since the opening. This trend continues even now, especially with strong exceptionals staying at the hotel."
