Chapter 32: 32.His Future is Here..Literally
[So make things easier im going to call him Future/Older Erick and Erick will still be..Erick, lol]
Inside of Erick's apartment, the three heroes stood together as they all carefully watched the older and future version of Erick Thawne walk around the apartment as you could hear him talking and laughing to himself..if there was anything more awkward than being in the same room with yourself
It was the fact that his future self literally killed him and was now acting so god damn casual, Kate leans over to Erick as she whispers to him
Kate:This can't be real right? There's no way..that's you..ten thousand years from now
As much as Erick didn't want believe it..he did, he's done some impossible things and he knew time travel was real because he's obviously done that himself on multiple occasions but to honestly be that old..his future self looked like he was in mid forties
Kate:My grandad was over four thousand years old before he passed away, he had wrinkles and everything..but this guy doesn't even have one single strand of white hair on him
Kara just watched on as she seemed a bit skeptical as the future Erick turned around and gave the Girl of Steel a small smile as she awkwardly smiled back at her, obviously this future version of Erick was taller..his eyes were really blue almost sapphire like in a way
She couldn't fathom someone living for that long and still be able to act like everything was normal, it made her feel just a tad bit uneasy..she needed to know and something told her to go and ask the older Erick
The Girl of Steel made her way over to him as he picked up a framed picture as he felt a tap on his shoulder, he put the picture back down and looked at a nervous Kara Danvers
Kara:I'm sorry to be so forward but..how do we know your telling us the truth?..
Future Erick just chuckled to himself as he replied back
Future Erick:A week before today, I played a prank on you..I made pancakes for you and when you asked what I added on them I said 'cocaine' I'll never forget your face *chuckles* it was priceless..
He moved past Kara as future Erick stood in the middle of the living room as he looked over at Kate
Future Erick:You didn't know anything about Midgard so I offered to help you fit in, in this very spot we sang 'I feel good' by Pinky Sweat..the look on your face when you saw me sing was pretty funny but you just sang along with me..
Future Erick then looked at his past self and told everyone in the room
Future Erick:I know what I told you before seems practically impossible..im ten thousand years old, but haven't we all seen and done the impossible over and over again?
Erick, Kate and Kara nodded in agreement knowing he had point
"Look..I believe you but you killed me how--how did you know that I was going to come back and not stay dead?"
Future Erick:Because the same thing happened to me..it's complicated but all you need to know is that ive experienced this before; every word you might say or think..I know it
Erick stepped forward as he stared down his future self as he had the same look on his face..he was challenging himself..kinda weird but intriguing
Future Erick/Erick:No you don't..wait, how did you do that? Your just repeating yourself over and over again. Are you sure you don't have some weird mind reading powers?
They both stop talking as you could just see the amount of absolute confusion in Kate and Kara's eyes..
Erick just stepped back and put his hands up in defeat as his future self just confidently smirked
"I know this is a stretch but can you tell us about life ten thousand years from now? Or anything that won't break the timeline?"
Future Erick:What I can tell you is that you'll go through some more things but ultimately when you experience it all..you'll know that it was worth it; that's all I can say..
Future Erick walks over to his past self and leans down as he whispers some words as he calmly tells his past self
Future Erick:You're going to have make a choice..one that will affect you for the rest of your life, you'll feel like you are being torn apart but know..you'll be always hang onto that memory
Erick glanced down at his future self left hand as he noticed a faint sparkle of a jewel covering his finger as his future self just backed away
Future Erick:I have seen universes rise and fall..people fight wars that felt like would last forever, the battles you will face will push you..but even then you will rise and fight back
You could see the sadness in his eyes as future Erick lowered his head
Future Erick:Wars come at a cost..they always do and it won't be easy but you won't be alone..
There was no noise in the room they all stood in as future Erick looked out the big hole in the wall as he quickly grabbed Erick and moved him to the right as they all saw that familiar red and blue colors as Mon-El came in as he glared at Erick not even acknowledging everyone else in the room
Mon-El:Like I told you before--
He was cut short by a slap to the face by future Erick as the Daxamite was instantly knocked out as he fell backwards as everyone turned and looked surprised at how easy future Erick managed to knock Mon-El
Future Erick:Piece of shit..real pain in the ass
Kara:Y-You just slapped him! H-How did you knock him out with a slap!?
Future Erick:He doesn't deserve to be punched..so I did what any sensible-ish person would do..I slapped him..
Erick knelt down and looked at an unconscious Mon-El as he poked him seeing if the Daxamite was going to even move but he was out cold
"Are you telling me that im seriously that strong? You just slapped him.."
Future Erick:The older you get the more stronger you get..being thousands of years old has it perks
Kate:That..that makes sense..
"Hold on does that mean..that im technically stronger than Superman?"
A small convenient *beep* is heard as future Erick pulls down his sleeve revealing a regular watch around his arm
Future Erick:I have to go..*looks at Erick* I know you have more questions but I can't risk being here any longer than I need to be..time travel and all that..
Future Erick dawns his mask and hood back on and he grabs the unconscious Mon-El by his leg and drags him out and tosses him out of the apartment and down to the streets below as he turns back to Kate and Kara
He first hugs Kate as she is caught a bit off guard but she hugs him back nonetheless
Future Erick:
Future Erick parts from Kate's arms as he smiles underneath his mask and moves to Kara as he hugs her aswell
Kara:I saw the ring..can you at least tell us who's the lucky girl?
Future Erick glanced between Kate and Kara as he moved back from Kara
Future Erick:
Once again he backs away from Kara as he looks between both women
Future Erick:
And finally he looked at his past self who was still looking at this version of himself..this was the man he was going to be..he couldn't even fathom seeing this
Future Erick:
He pats his past self on the shoulder as they share a mutual nod as future Erick waves his hand as a portal opens up in the middle of the room as he takes one last good at everyone as he turns back and steps through the portal as it closes behind him

It had only been mere minutes since his future self had left them and yet they still couldn't get over the fact that it still happened..
Erick needed to distract himself as he turned on his TV as the news played
News Reporter:
Kara could hear some footsteps approaching to the front door of the apartment as Kate hear the faint sound of sirens going off in the distance and only growing closer
News Reporter:
Erick turns off the TV and sighs as he runs his hand through his hair
"God dammit..that bastard knew, he planned it..Mon-El knew this was going to happen.."
He wasn't screwed he was completely fucked..literally every known superhero or government figure was now going to come after him relentlessly
Kate could see the anger in Erick's eyes as she gently laid her hand on his shoulder
Kate:Erick..we need to go..
But that's the thing they couldn't even if he did separate himself from them, they'd find him..
"I don't have anywhere to go, Kate.."
Those words rung up an idea in Kara's mind as she pulled out the interdimensional extrapolator
Kara:But I do..Erick your a wanted man here on this world..but not on mine
The door to his apartment was kicked in as multiple police officers surrounded them, without even a second thought; Kara pressed the device and opened a portal as Erick quickly grabbed them and ran right through it..well it looked like he heading to Earth 38 for quite a while
