My head felt like a big watermelon. It was hard to change positions and my eyes were too heavy to open.
I moaned. I tried to see things clearly, but there was a strong force that had stopped me.
"Don't force yourself to the limit! Take a rest for now." A cold, ruthless voice echoed around that brought fear to my whole system.
Even I didn't open my eyes, I knew where it came from. I would always remember his deep, husky voice wherever I go.
"But I have to be at my sister's side! I should be the one looking after her!" I shouted like I have the right to do so.
He's my boss, my savior, but I must get up from this soft bed and run back to Andrea's room. "Please, let me leave this dull room, just for now."
Slowly, I opened my eyes and I was starstruck the moment I saw his face. It was blank. There was nothing on him, but it fluttered me all over again. I gulped, "What happened? Why I am here?" I didn't know exactly what happened after I closed my sleepy eyes earlier.
But there was one thing I remembered before I lost my consciousness.
"Good thing I was there to help you! I felt helpless the moment you collapsed before my eyes!" he explained as he looked into my eyes intently.
"I was so fucking scared when I saw you that way!" Lisandro exclaimed.
I didn't know what to say to him after he rose his voice to me. He sounded like a serious boyfriend who felt scared when he saw how his girlfriend fainted. But in reality, he's a man who was addicted to a woman's body. No more, no less.
For a couple of minutes, I just stayed at one position as I looked at his epic reaction. His eyes were honest, happiness on his lips, yet I couldn't read his thoughts.
"Huh," I sighed as I surrendered the argument simply. Maybe he was right. Maybe I was just forcing myself to the limit and waiting to explode. "You don't have to do this. I am barely a slave, a dirty woman who only needs money from you."
I was tired and sick of fighting. Whatever it is, I don't care! What important is that Andrea has a greater chance of survival. There would be another reason to work hard, pretend to be the best sister all over the world until the six-month agreement reached its end.
I'd learned a lot of things since I witnessed the most heartbreaking scene in my entire life. The sadness in my mother's eyes and the pain she kept on her own until her very last breath.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to raise my voice earlier. I… I just want to see you taking a good rest." Lisandro explained as he walked closer to me. He probably thought that I was disappointed because of his strange actions.
But I knew it was best for me. I needed to rest, yet I'd hated to stay inside of a peaceful, plain room.
I sighed heavily and said, "You're right, but please take me back home. I want to sleep in my place."
Gently as ever, I turned to him as I looked intently into his beautiful, glowing golden-brown eyes. There was a hint of fear. Sadness has drawn on his face that effortlessly touched my soul.
Too many questions flashed into my head when I first saw that kind of fear in him. A rich man who had everything won't feel that way towards a dirty woman like me. It was solely impossible and I didn't want to expect things from me.
He gasped, caressed his chin for a moment, and looked away from my gaze. "Sure! I… I'll take you home, instead!"
At that moment, I'd once felt how to be looked after by someone who has a special place in my heart. I felt like I was a valuable woman who has earned attention from the unreachable man in the whole town.
I was lucky to be his assistant and if there was one thing that I would wish for. "Thank you for everything, Lisandro," I told him sweetly. This time, I would not lie to myself anymore. I've tried my best, but my best wasn't still enough to get rid of this feeling away from my heart.
It was difficult to unlove someone who seemed perfect and flawless. He looked like my ideal man; thus, we've met at the wrong time and I didn't want to be in a complicated romantic relationship with him or with someone else.

After a couple of hours, Lisandro and I arrived at my place. It wasn't like a stunning house like his mansion, but I'd lived a peaceful life for how many years. It became part of my life and I would never hesitate to show where I live to everyone.
Suddenly, I heard him clear his throat as he opened the door for me. It was the very first moment he'd ever seen the place where I stayed after working the entire day.
He said, "You've been living here?"
I nodded, turned to him, and replied confidently, "Yes, and there's nothing wrong with it."
Slowly, I closed the door and walked towards the main gate of the house. It was surrounded by trees and I'd never bothered to look for a better place.
Every morning, I could smell the fresh air that blew the leaves and trees. And it would abruptly take away all of my headaches and problems that I've tried to solve on my own.
"You got me wrong, Andy! What I'm trying to say is that,"
"What?" I cut him off.
He blinked his eyes countless times and he couldn't meet my naughty gaze. "I liked it too!" Lisandro said exaggeratedly which somehow eased the qualms that stressed me.
And millions of thorns had vanished instantly as it was replaced by a beautiful feeling. It was a good thing that he liked being here surrounded by blooming nature. It has been the best escapade for me.
After a few steps, I reached the second door and quickly opened it before the cold wind touched my skin. "Come inside!"
Lisandro silently followed me inside, took off his shoes, and put aside the things he brought the moment he stepped into the warm floor covered with a thick, white rug.
I walked straight towards the kitchen while he stayed in the living area. I sighed deeply, quickly took a glass of water, and chugged it with no hesitation.
It has been a long, tiring day and I just wanted to throw myself into my bed. I had so much work to do tomorrow morning, yet I didn't want to push away a handsome man like what I did to a poor, hopeless fly.
"Hmm, what if we sleep together tonight?" I murmured out of the blue. It wasn't me. It was not my usual self anymore! "Goodness, watch your mouth, Andy!" I hated it, but I have to admit that he was my happy pill.
I then put the empty glass into the sink and leaned my hands on the edge. I closed my eyes, tried to concentrate until I've felt his presence near me.
"What if we sleep together tonight? What do you think?" Lisandro asked with a wild smile on his lips.
A sleepover? In my room? No way!
I almost fell to the floor when he suddenly appeared in front of me. He seemed like a mushroom and I didn't know what was the reason for the nervousness that I'd felt for a couple of minutes.
My face turned red. But I didn't want to burst into laughter while he was watching my reaction. Without a thought, I turned around on him, faced the sink, and bit my lower lips.
"In your dreams!" I replied and that was the lamest alibi that I'd ever said in my life.
