The journey back to the ambush site was just as treacherous as the first trip. But soon we reached the ambush point and the broken boulder. Sitting on the largest peice, of the crashed boulder was no other than Anan
"Anan! You're alright! Oh thank goodness!" Rushing up to him I started checking him over, no scratches or anything of the sort. Breathing out a sigh of relief I slumped down as the events of the day finally caught up to me. Leaning back onto the rock I laid my hand over my eyes and let out a laugh,
"Man am I some kind of entertainment for somebody, first I die wake up here and almost die again." Comforting chirps come from two directions uncovering my eyes I look at the two slugs and give a smile "thanks guys!" My eyes soon closed as the adrenaline ran out.
Sometime in the middle of the night I awoke to a strange pulling pain on my face, wincing I tryed to open my eyes, however one was sealed shut reaching up to clear away whatever it was I flinched and growled in pain when I brushed one of the cuts. Suddenly remembering the painful cuts the slug hound had given me I simply rose to my feet the tazerling was still here so I decided to ask him why.
"Hey buddy why did you stay?" In response he looked up at me and rolled his eyes hopped into one of the slug shells, standing there in slight befuddlement I kinda short circuited, eventually I gained back some semblance of intelligence picked up Anan and gathered up everything we had while I was packing everything up I noticed the helmet in the bottom of the bag blushing in embarrassment I pulled it out and slammed the helmet onto my head, if I had it on chances were that I wouldn't have gotten the three scratches. Bearing the rubbing sensation I picked up Anan who was sleeping and slipped him into a shell, I then got to my feet and resumed the treck to civilization. For the rest of the night I slowly made my way along the trail eating jerky and feeding the slugs the occasional bite. The cycle started to lighten and morning came, with it the nighttime chatter became significantly less prominent. A silence fell that was relatively pleasant. I simply walked for a time enjoying the ambiance and the silence of the underground world. Soon all the day creatures came alive and the sound of slug's chirping and calling out to each other filled the air with the calming sounds around us me and my team enjoyed ourselves as they either road on my shoulders or in the shells. Eventually I turned to the newest member of the group of misfits we had become.
"So my friend what should I call you? I obviously can't keep referring to you as you, friend, or some other generic title." The slug nodded his head sagely while tapping his chin, in contemplation. deciding to help him out much like I helped Anan I gave him some options, "well, you could go with Bolt, its a term commonly associated with electricity. Well since the one movie about the dog it did become overused," seeing the slight frown that had developed after the mention of the movie I racked my brain for another term that had something to do with electricity. Storm what water and wind so that was a no go, Bronte sounded more like a food than a threatening name finally one came that could be the very one "Or we could go with something like kilowatt, its the highest measurement of electricity that I know of." His little antenna stood straight up at the mention of term, smiling at the little guys obvious like of the name I decided that was what he would be called henceforth.
"Well Kilowatt, welcome to the team,"
This was a movie I watched as a kid and was devistated when it was discontinued, so I decided to jump into the story with my own charater. Thanks to all who have helped me so far!
