Chapter 41: Chapter 41 Noya Eiji VS Herald Zenith!

After the word 'start' left the teacher's mouth, Eiji vanished from his spot!
His wooden sword was already unsheathed and swung towards Herald's face!

Herald parried Eiji's slash and then directly countered.

But before he could attack, Eiji had already retreated far away from him with his wooden katana sheathed back in his sword belt.
Herald didn't follow up towards Eiji and just looked at him, with an amused face.

Before Herald could finish his words though, Eiji vanished from his sight again and attacked him!
Same attack, same motion, same style but faster!

"Tsk! Do you really think you can defeat me by using this attack again and again? You can't defeat me like this like you did with that idiot from the Ignis clan!"
"I'm not..... Doing that... "
*Swwoooosshhh!!!!
Eiji who answered Herald, vanished from his spot again!

"You Bastard!"
Herald was angered by Eiji's persistence and same attacks. He could see what he was gonna do, but Eiji just kept going faster! He could react but it wasn't enough!
Looking at each other face to face, Eiji calmly looked at Herald.

After saying that, he vanished in front of Herald and was a few meters away from him again.

He still saw what Eiji would do, but his body just was not be able to react, all he could do was dodge!
He was angry that Eiji forced him to dodge, He was originally planning on just parrying or blocking Eiji's attacks to let everyone know that he can deal with speed just as fine.

After attacking, Eiji back away again. Leaving Herald who wanted to counter, but struck the empty air.

"He lost the initiative, now he could only passively wait on that kid's attacks and then counter, if not..."
At the audience area, Karma watched the match between Eiji and Herald and commented.
"Herald...."
Neiva looked at Herald in worry.
"This is what I told you, this is the consequences of his careless and arrogance. He could have won by now if he initiated the attack rather than that kid Eiji."
"Herald is your son! Why are talking as if that bastard Eiji is!?"

Karma didn't asnwer her and continued to watch, Neiva knowing that Karma won't entertain her again, went back on watching the match too.

At the judges booth, Headmaster Brian talked with Teacher Muri.
"Did you tell him to hold back?!"

After Headmaster Brian asked him the question, Muri fell silent after answering.
He had already told Headmaster Brian about Eiji when he was knocked out by the jaguar all those years ago, Like Karma, Muri also owed a lot to Headmaster Brian.

Herald was also tired and was spinning around as Eiji attacked him from all sides blitzing.
Herald's eyes was already back to normal, he had already been hit more than ten times, but his fast reflexes and swift reaction was just enough to minimize the damage he was receiving.

With blood shot eyes, Herald was glaring at Eiji.
His clothes were ruined, he got bruises from the attacks and he even has a small cut in his face.
Herald couldn't take it anymore and the ki in his wooden katana intensified.

This was different from what he had done before.
It wasn't the techniques he had copied from his opponents from before.

Herald took a deep breath and took a stance, he looked at Eiji, who, once again attacked him with the same technique but clearly even faster than before!

Herald's aura suddenly changed and the moment that he moved his sword, there were after images to it.
Eiji saw it and knew that Herald was now using an exclusive technique from his clan. He didn't know what rank this technique was or what effect or power it has.
But without fear Eiji still continued his attack, with momentum rising each second, his right hand preparing on drawing the wooden katana from his sword belt, ready to unleash his strike!
